zip420 Noticed some leaning today, so I’ll need to add a support stake. This isn't LST or damage; it’s actually because I intentionally planted it at an angle during the transplant to coco as it was stretching a bit. Fortunately, the plant still looks vibrant and healthy, so I'm happy with its progress.
zip420 Growing well.
------------------------------
They look very healthy, but I'm watering at around pH 4.5 and EC 1.35 ms/cm, while the runoff is coming out at pH 7.2 and EC 0.95 ms/cm — the pH has started to skew quite alkaline. I think this is the result of vigorous nutrient uptake, since I've been dosing Big Bud at the recommended rate as flowering progresses, but it's a bit concerning. I flushed yesterday, but by the next day the pH was already back up to 7. Still, the plants have grown this big already, so I'm wondering if I can just somehow scrape through to harvest.

zip420 The plants grew bigger than expected. The runoff pH is still high at around 7.1, so I've been giving them water adjusted down to pH 4.5 to bring it back down. They look healthy so far. I was feeding at 1.4 mS/cm last week, but I'm gradually tapering it down to about 0.8 mS/cm now. I'm hoping to do a thorough flush this time, but I'm not quite sure about the timing.

zip420 She has bulked up incredibly compared to how lanky she looked around Week 8. Despite doing almost no pruning, the growth is massive and very healthy. Right now, I've tapered the nutrients down and reduced the light intensity by about 20%, currently sitting at EC 0.4 mS/cm and 500 PPFD.
Nutrient management (final phase)
EC was gradually reduced from 0.8 mS/cm to 0.2 mS/cm over the final week before harvest. Cal-Mag was the only supplement maintained at a low dose throughout the flush. Through early flowering, only CANNA Coco A&B was used. From mid- to late-flowering, BigBud was applied at approximately 2 ml/L, then progressively tapered off toward the end.
Pre-harvest and drying
Plants were placed in complete darkness for 48 hours before harvest. The entire plant was cut at the base and hung whole for drying. Temperature and humidity were maintained at 18°C / 62% RH using sensor-controlled exhaust fans. Notably, the sugar leaves remained turgid and vibrant for approximately the first two days after hanging.
Humidity control transition
Around day 10, humidity began to drop below 60%, so a humidifier was introduced to hold the 62% target. From day 11, trimming was carried out over several days and curing began.
Result at day 16
A test session with a vaporizer at approximately 180°C revealed almost no grassy or chlorophyll-like notes. In sharp contrast to the sour smell of the unheated flower, the flavor was strikingly creamy and sweet. It now appears that my previous drying attempts had been failing all along — when drying is done properly, the harshness I had long attributed to cannabis itself simply disappears.
Yield
--------
After drying, the lower half turned out pretty fluffy and there was almost nothing left after trimming. Still, the actual bud yield came to 135g. I'll use the rest for processing. The dried sugar leaves and popcorn buds together came to 120g.

zip420 The plant reached approximately 90cm in height and was successfully harvested on day 83 from soak. Toward the end, the substrate pH stayed fixed around 7 for about two weeks, which had me worried, but the plant never showed any signs of stress. I flushed over roughly one week, then gave it about 40 hours of darkness at the very end. The dry weight will be updated after drying and trimming.
Day #94 — 11 days into drying. Began trimming today and aiming to wrap it up in the next 2-3 days.
