Jrlea11 Water with 4ml of calmag when planted 7 days ago. Ph level 6.4
Each plant took 1 gallon of water twice in a week. Second watering consisted of .625 tsp of floragro, florabloom, and floramicro. Only 3 have popped through so far hoping the other two will soon.
First time grower, I'm thinking I probably should have waited to add nutrients until after week one but I'm here to learn. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Jrlea11 Only 1 seed made it. I'm pretty sure the other 4 were my fault, they dried out too much in the paper towel while I was germinating. This happened while I was at work.
This week I stuck to same feeding schedule, I've only had to water every 4 days or so. Struggling to keep my humidity at 60% but its maintaining so far. Not trying to overthink too much as this is my first grow so I have a lot to learn. Currently I'm running 3 cobs 150w and I will be germinating 2 more north lights autos plus 2 white window autos.
I'm starting to see my upper leaves turning a bit yellow in spots. I think I may be over watering. I've added 1 gallon water to 3 gallon pot leaves looked to droop a bit.
Jrlea11 Over watered this week and probably last week, leaves started turning yellow on tips. Haven't watered since 6/7/19 and she's looking alot better now.
Rookie mistake but lesson learned.
All I know is I'm having a fun time. Keep growing happy thoughts...

Jrlea11 Well.....what can I say, this week went much better since I've backed off the watering a bit. I have now been giving her 3 to 4 cups every 3 to 4 days. She seems to appreciate that more. FIMed the 4th node, shooting for more colas with less stress.
Happy Growing!

Jrlea11 Everything seems to be a bit better since I backed off the watering. She has easily doubled in size this week.
My other plants are looking good I think......they are looking a but yellow, any ideas? I've been giving them 1 ml/g of calmag a few cups every 3 days.

Jrlea11 Flowering began on the last day of week 6. Lower leaves turned yellow so I've got rid of some of those. LST has also been incorporated. Hopefully everything continues to grow smoothly. Happy growing......
Jrlea11 She got a good trimming this early this week. My timer kept messing up so now she's on a 24 hour light. Hoping she won't stress out any. We are having a heat wave come in and my temps might just up another 5 or 10 degrees. Should I bring her in the house for those few days or will she be able to handle the heat?

Jrlea11 Week 9 in the books, plant is getting taller but haven't seen much bud growth. Hopefully week 4 of flower will increase bud production and maybe see some trichomes.
Jrlea11 Gave 1 more feeding of Koolbloom this week. The tips of leaves were looking burnt so I started flushing. Plant just completed week 7 of flower but I would like to push it two more weeks if I can. Surprisingly I'm not in a hurry which is good, patience is a virtue.

Jrlea11 Flushed this plant for 10 days. Starting to see some amber trichomes and mostly milky/cloudy I'm guessing 60% milky trichomes so I going to chop tonight after work. This will be my first chop, going to dry in my closet until ready for cure. Hopefully all goes well. Happy growing!
Honestly your plant looks amazing sometimes it’s time we are fighting in this adventure we are on you just got to sit back especially come to harvest don’t chop to early I’ve made the mistake.
Hello and welcome.
Your seedlings look good. What I have read and practised is that seeds have their own survival kit inbuilt and keeps them going for a couple of weeks. I am a newbie too.
I wish you much success with your 1st grow.
Grow well 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

Hi @Jrlea11! My guess is that you flooded the roots with water. Overwatering is a common mistake with small plants in big containers. As a result, plant cannot drink all of the water and roots are suffocating, they can’t get oxygen anymore. Roots need to be on a wet/dry cycle to properly spread, searching for water. Each cycle should be pretty quick (24~36h) so you should always water with 15-20% of the container’s capacity. Never water with more than 25% of you container’s volume. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
A certain volume of soil usually holds 25% to 33% of its volume in water, so 3 gallon of soil (or coco in this case) easily holds 1 gallon of water. But since the pot is too big for the stage your seedling is in, it is too much water. At this point 1 cup of water is more than enough to last several days. Let the media dry a bit, it might take a couple of weeks.
