valiotoro This run is a side-by-side experiment to compare two different light schedules on autoflowers: 20 hours of light (20/4) versus 24 hours of light (24/0).
The goal is to see if running 24h of continuous light actually improves growth, yield, and overall plant health compared to a more traditional 20/4 cycle.
Both plants are grown under the same conditions:
• Same genetics
• Same medium
• Same nutrients
• Same environment (temperature, humidity, airflow)
The only variable in this grow is the light cycle.💡
Let’s find out: is 24/0 really worth it, or is 20/4 the sweet spot for autoflowers?
I already have my own opinion on this, and I believe that under 24/0, even the smallest mistake can hit hard and show up fast. This run will confirm (or challenge) that idea…👀

valiotoro Week one is done ✔️
So far, no major differences both are growing at exactly the same pace.
No signs of leaf burn or light stress.
The substrate is drying a bit faster on the 24h one, which is totally normal.

valiotoro End of week 2 😄
No noticeable differences yet between them.
I bumped the light up to 60% on the 20/4 schedule.
The 24/0 is still running at 40% to keep things stress-free for now.

valiotoro They’re deep in the stretch phase, so bud sites should start forming very soon. I’m lucky to be running two identical phenotypes for this test, which is ideal.
Still can’t spot any real difference between them…

valiotoro Insane vigor! Buds are stacking all over this is looking like it’s going to be a top harvest.
The aroma is already coming through strong, sweet candy with a spicy twist 🤤
The plant under 24/0 is showing roughly 15% more bud development compared to the 20/4.🔥

valiotoro Let’s gooo, flowering has officially started hehe!🔥
The one under 24h light is slightly ahead in bud formation. No signs of light stress, so we’re keeping it going.👌

valiotoro All good so far!
The terps are already really nice reminds me of rhubarb with a spicy twist 🤤
Both plants are in perfect health with no signs of stress at all, so I’m going to keep increasing the intensity and push it up to 80%.

valiotoro Week 7 hehe everything’s on point buds are stacking nicely and the terps are coming through super loud!
Temps are pushing the limit a bit, but I’ve never used AC and I’m definitely not about to start now 😂
Stay Here 4 Life
Damn, the finish is incredible!!
The goal of this run was to test the best light schedule for autos, and from my point of view, 20/4 is more than enough! (Maybe 24/0 with CO₂ supplementation could be worth it.)
With 20/4, the plant gets a bit of time to recover, and she won’t hold a couple of small mistakes against you.
The last few weeks I had temperatures above 30°C in the tent, but they handled it really well.
If you’re looking for a great sativa with an amazing cerebral high and candy-like terps, this is THE strain to choose.

valiotoro The buds are incredible for an auto, and in such a short time, it’s just unbeatable!🔥
Ah sorry it didnt work out for you as it always does for me bro ! Happy yo are able to yield enough with 20h lights hours, still beautifull thick hard buds 😍
