Mo_Powers Finally, it’s time to get started again. My first outdoor grow of the year. I’ve decided to go with the Z-UP from Fast Buds—let’s see how well this strain performs. Spring has just begun, and while the nights are still very cold, we’re already having mild days with temperatures up to 20 degrees. It’s worth a try to see how early in the year I can start my outdoor grow. Simple setup with an Autopot and Biobizz All Mix. I’ll also be using Biobizz for fertilizing.

Mo_Powers No major growth spurts; it’s growing rather slowly. It actually gets enough light and is being fed properly. Perhaps the big growth spurt is still to come. The weather was mixed again.

Mo_Powers She’s had a big growth spurt. She’s now twice as big as she was a week ago. However, I get the feeling she’s not quite living up to expectations. The first pistils are starting to show.

Mo_Powers Last week was very hot. I was worried she wouldn’t cope well with it. But I was wrong. She’s doing fine and is slowly starting to produce her buds.

Mo_Powers Another week has gone by. She’s been doing well and has grown a few more centimetres. The buds are getting fatter and she’s starting to give off a slight scent. The weather is summery. Perfect temperatures.

Mo_Powers What a beast! The main bud has really plumped up and looks absolutely gorgeous. I’ve trimmed off a few of the larger leaves. It smells delicious and looks very healthy.

Mo_Powers She’s just absolutely brilliant. She’s grown some really lovely, plump buds and smells incredibly strong. One little oddity: she’s got almost exclusively three-fingered leaves. She’s probably thinking, ‘Why waste energy on leaves? The buds are much more important!’ Just one more week, then it’s harvest time.

Mo_Powers After I’d done a little photo shoot with her, I harvested her. Wet, she weighed a good 150 grams on the scales. Once dried, she weighed a full 32 grams. The buds are sticky, and the smell is intensely fruity. I left them to dry in a cardboard box for two weeks. It works quite well in the summer. Now it’ll take a few more weeks to cure
