Oyziphar As a price for the most beautiful photo in the photo contest from De Gouden Gieter (The Golden Watering Can), I received from the sponsor Organic Earth growshop in Maastricht, a selection of their finest products and 2 packs of their own brand of seeds. In this diary I will try out the Sour Papaya seeds π

Oyziphar Nice weather , lots of sun π no rain
I selected and transplanted 3 plants to 14 liter containers. I got rid of one plant because she was weaker πͺ
In each pot I used Lightmix Bio with 2 Growing Tabs ; 42gr Biovin, 14gr Soil Starter Mix and 14gr Flower Safer (mycorrhiza)
I gave the plants a liquid booster with OPF 7:2:3 ; Fulvic 25 ; Yuccah ; Biovin liquid ; Earthworm compost extract.

Oyziphar It's been a busy week :
π I defoliated the plant by removing 8- 10 very big fan leaves, to allow more sunlight to reach the lower branches
π I took 2 cutting of my plant(s)
π I removed the six lowest branches and used the cuttings to make cuttings.
π I started the light deprivation technique by moving the plants to my darkroom to force flowering.
ππππEvery morning at 8:30 am I move the plants in the greenhouse.
ππππEvery evening at 8:30 pm I move the plants inside the darkroom.
π Once a week I give the plants a liquid booster with OPF 4:2:8 ; Fulvic 25 ; Yuccah ; Biovin liquid ; Earthworm compost extract.

Three plants and two different phenos. One plant best matches the description provided by breeder Organic Earth : "Sour Papaya combines the sweet tropical aroma of Papaya with the unmistakable fuel notes of Sour Diesel, resulting in a unique hybrid with an exceptional terpene profile". "Developed by crossing Zkittlez Γ Sour Diesel and pollinating the selected female with a reversed Papaya". /// A brilliantly combination of sweet tropical fruit and a gassy diesel punch. The seeds are anything but uniform, but if you want to surprise yourself with this interesting cross, it is well worth it. I ended up with three very different plants, but they all turned out great. And with plant #1, I have a magnificent keeper for my clone library.

After 8οΈβ£ long weeks of putting the plants outside every morning and bringing them back inside 12 hours laterβ°every single day β° (light deprivation) the moment has finally arrived to harvest the plants π The plants have had good, and very often excellent, summer weather for 8 weeks in a row ππππ Not a single bad day. One day was even hotter than the next π‘οΈπ‘οΈπ‘οΈ So, the plants have ripened perfectly. No bud rot or mildew π I could have let the plants flower for another week, but the smell was so intense, I didn't want the plants to be discovered. So I had to harvest them exactly after 8 weeks of bloom.π
Plant #1οΈβ£ (74gr - 151cm) : best matches the description provided by breeder Organic Earth. She produced a top yield of 74g. Beautiful big plant with a sturdy trunk and a gigantic main top and hard buds on all branches. 10 STARS. Definitely a keeper .π.π.π.
Plant #2οΈβ£ (57gr - 131cm) : is the same pheno, but she is much smaller, has much less aroma; and has a much lower yield. π
Plant #2οΈβ£ (60gr - 121cm) : is a completely different pheno. The plant is relatively small and has a compact shape. The buds smell of strawberry and have a very faint gassy aroma.
