High_And_Hydro They've been taken outside for a few days now during the day to harden off. In the pictures, they've just come back inside from outside, and it was a bit colder today. That's why the leaves are drooping a little.

High_And_Hydro They are permanently outside now and so far they look quite healthy.

High_And_Hydro They are doing well and look fit. The weather is supposed to get significantly warmer and stay that way from now on, which makes me very happy. Fingers crossed that the weather this year will be a bit better than last year 💪👽👍

High_And_Hydro She's stretching a bit, as always outdoors in Northern Germany, but so far the weather has been good compared to previous years. It's just starting to rain and thunder now. They're still healthy and currently getting nettle juice as the only external nutrient supply; the rest comes from the soil.

High_And_Hydro She suffered hail damage on one leaf, but it's not too bad. Also, there are still rose and rhododendron leafhoppers on the leaves, but so far they haven't caused any damage. They're still stretching, and this week the sky has been rather overcast.

High_And_Hydro The weather has been bad this week. It's cold, it rains often, and it's often cloudy, but every now and then the sun peeks through for a bit. I hope the weather gets a little better in the next few days. Other than that, they're doing well so far. I made horsetail/nettle tea this week, it smells absolutely terrible, attracts flies, and you can't really stand close to the plants until the next rain without feeling like you're going to puke.

High_And_Hydro The last 3 weeks it has rained almost constantly and it was pretty cold around 14 - 16°C. Since yesterday, it's a bit warmer again and today it's over 30°C. They haven't grown much in the last week and they have some bite marks, probably from root aphids or cicadas. I've treated them with neem oil twice and now I hope that helps a bit.

High_And_Hydro The weather was pretty good last week. It rained a little and it finally got a bit warmer. She has a few less nodes and they aren't as developed, but otherwise, she's healthy. A few leaves have been quite chewed up by insects.

High_And_Hydro Last week I was in the hospital, so there were no pictures. She looks good and for the miserable weather with 17°C and just rain and storms, she's made quite good progress. She has some damaged leaves here and there, probably from flea beetles or cicadas, but I'm not sure. Also, she has a slight yellow tint, so the pH level seems to be a bit off. I think I'll give her a mix of calcium ammonium nitrate and Epsom salt to raise the pH a bit and prevent any nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. Next time I’d prefer to use rock dust, but this time it has to be like this.

High_And_Hydro Outdoor is really boring... nothing happens at all. She gets a few leftover nutrients that I still have lying around and need to get rid of. These include: Canna Hydro Vega + Flores, Plagron Alga Bloom, Biobizz Grow, Bloom, Topmax, as well as Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) and Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4). The 19L pot is clearly too small for a photoperiod outdoor plant, so the compost and a bit of nettle tea are not enough to properly supply the plants. There are signs of nitrogen deficiency (chlorosis of the lower leaves), brown spots (not 100% sure if calcium is lacking in this case), and overall a pale appearance (possible magnesium deficiency/nitrogen deficiency). The weather isn't really cooperating either, and there's another longer rainy period with temperatures below 20°C forecasted, just like last week. These temperatures also lead to poorer nutrient uptake, and the high humidity hinders water consumption, which is why I've decided to raise the EC value in the medium a bit to still ensure good supply.

High_And_Hydro Last week we had bad weather again with clouds and 18°C, the day before yesterday it rained all day, and now it's just okay. Over the next 2 days, temperatures are expected to be over 30°C. She got a new pot/bag that now holds 40L. I think she handled the repotting well.

High_And_Hydro Last week, I gave a bit of PK13/14 because I felt that the plants didn't respond well to the calcium-ammonium nitrate the week before. I suspected a cation imbalance, or a calcium/magnesium surplus, which could have displaced the potassium. Potassium is responsible for water balance, and they looked a bit limp, even though they were watered properly and the weather was somewhat decent. This was especially noticeable with the tomatoes, and they have already responded quite well and gained a bit of leaf tension. Whether it was an imbalance or the pH level in the medium was a bit off, I can only guess. It could have been something completely different, and I might be totally wrong, just lucky that they're still alive so far.
