vyndalin 20.5 – So, it’s almost time for some outdoor action. For this season I went with Blue Bullet Automatic from Sensi Seeds and Sweet Afghani Delicious F1 Fast Version (S.A.D.) from Sweet Seeds. I’m really curious about the fast versions because last summer was absolutely terrible, so I’m hoping they’ll actually finish outside this time. Have no experience with fast versions at all, but it seems exactly what I was looking for.
S.A.D. – 4 out of 4 popped within 4 days.
I really appreciate the batch number printed on the back of the pack. Every breeder should do this. It’s a win‑win‑win for everyone — breeder, seller, and customer. Every side benefits from it.
Blue Bullet Auto – 2 (maybe 3) out of 4 within 7 days.
I lost one seed while putting it into the cube, and when I found it again I had no idea which side I started from. Unfortunately I missed my mark and ended up with two seedlings in one cube. I decided to leave them like that. Today I checked the last cubes and it looks like there might be one more BB coming, but we’ll see.
Now they are back under 30W LEDs in a homemade propagator made from an unused laundry basket.
So that’s it! I’m hoping for a super summer — the one God still owes me.

vyndalin 27.5 - The babies are getting Rhizotonic with Canna Start and they’re loving it.
I moved them outside on Sunday, but on Monday a heatwave hit and even though they weren’t in direct sun, they still got a bit toasted.
I moved them to a different spot and Tuesday’s heat didn’t leave any marks at all.
They’ll be totally fine, but I hate watching them twist up like that.

vyndalin 3.6 – Week 3 of veg.
Weather’s been straight-up April vibes instead of late May/early June. One day tropical 30°C, next day it drops by 10 degrees and storms so wild pigeons are losing eggs and whole nests across the city.
My 19L fabric pots finally arrived today — way better for the balcony than the 11L plastic ones or air-pots, which would dry out way too fast. The balcony is southwest-facing, so it gets really hot out there. I transplanted them right away, they were clearly ready for it.
They also got their last feed of “baby formula” (Canna Start + Rhizotonic). From now on we’re switching to the meat diet — Terra Vega and the rest of the veg lineup.
I’ll eventually add remote‑controlled watering (smart plug), and I want to expand it with a DIY ESP32 controller and a Chinese multi‑soil sensor. I’ve got all the parts already, but I’m such a lazy, baked piece of shit… maybe next season I’ll actually finish it. Basically I just need to be able to water them remotely when I’m off somewhere in the Mediterranean.
The Super Boof seed I tried to pop never came up, so the whole peat pot went straight into the 270L bag where I’m reconditioning old substrate.
That’s about it for now.
