ohcibi Update May 27 Topped another two Side branches. I guess I’ll leave it at that. The temperature is permanently rising and I need more lights off to maintain it properly, so I will prolly go flower as soon as he recovers from this topping. Depending on how fast the recovery will be, I might do it one more time but that’s it then. So flower will start 🔜. Update May 26 After I was in the hospital I learned about them solo but plans so I dedicated a diary for each strain. Also because they develop different from each other. All went well so far and like I said: this week will be the decision about whether to top the side branches once or to send them to flower directly. Lemme know in the comments what you would do. Apologies if the state of the diary is a bit chaotic up to now. I had to recap everything by memory. I could have started the diary in week 4 but I wanted to provide the full history for each strain. I put the timelapses for both plants into one video but as it mainly shows Takti, I kept it in his diary. Stay tuned!

ohcibi Update June 4th Another 3 liters fed today. As expected, this week is full of LST and scrogging only, but it’s going very well. The prep work I’m doing now is basically what I did in the first week(s) of flower in the last grow, so the foundation for flipping will be much better prepared this time. Maintenance on Taktlo$$ is even getting a tad bit simpler. Flipping is expected on Sunday. I’ll just keep the same week marker for simplicity, even if I could flip earlier. Update June 1st Fed a full 3 liters again. Those plants are chugging like hell. Last grow I fed 1.5 liters per plant. This time it’s 3 liters per plant and they drink it up as fast as the last ones drank their 1.5 liters. Not saying 3L is exceptional. I was likely just too conservative before. That said, this grow I’ve been feeding roughly double since the start, so the plants are prolly just more developed overall. Maintenance on this Dynamite Diesel strain is still much simpler than on the Royal Gorilla. Let’s see if the yield in the end is on par. Update May 31st Also for Samy this will be the final veggie week. This Dynamite Diesel strain is a little bit simpler to train and maintain as it doesn’t grow as bushy. Clips are easier to apply. Scrog is easier to do. Other than that the strain grows as strong and fast. No further topping plans on Samy as well. So same deal as for Takti as I will flip both at the same time no matter what (can’t do different) I might go flower half way through this week. So stay tuned!

ohcibi Update June, 10th Found fungus gnats . Put two yellow cards into the pot. Fingers double-u'd that they don’t spread. Update June, 7th Flip flop flippidy flop flippidy flip flop floppidy flop! FFW - First Flower Week. Set the clock to 12/12 today and enabled the „flower mode“ of my lamp which basically just enables the red LEDs. So them plants ended up in the red light district now. This week will be continuing/finishing the scrogging and lsting and waiting for the stretch to set in. Only one row of scrog squares is left by now so the timing should be perfect. Plants looking good and healthy. I’m at week 7 of my fertilizer schedule and fed another 3 liters today.

ohcibi Update June 16th 3 liters fed with another week of fertilizer schedule skipped because why. the fuck. not! I know the can handle it. They’re battle rappers! Still found 4 new bugs on them yellow cards. Guess those are survived larvae from previous mating. But still no invasion. Update June 14th SFW - Second Flower Week. Fungus gnats seem to be defeated. First set of cards caught 5-7 bugs, second set is clean so far. Fingers double-u’d that’s the end of it. Samy handled the watering pause much better than Takti and had no drooping at all. Dynamite Diesel continues to be a much easier and more enjoyable strain to train. Not nearly as bushy, which makes handling and shaping a lot more straightforward.

ohcibi Update June 22nd Third week of flower is starting off very well visually. Buds are developing. Pistils are emerging everywhere. The concerning part is the temperature as well as the humidity. My fans are doing their job well, but I hope those buds will survive this steam-room-type situation.
