Smoking_Joe_Frazier 07.06.2026 Week 1 Hi Growmies, welcome to week 1 of my grow diary. Today my ladies got a new “dress”. I transplanted them from the small plastic starter pots into their final 15L fabric pots. During the transplant I dusted the root zone with mycorrhiza powder before placing them into their new home. The soil mix I’m running consists of Plagron Batmix, Biobizz worm humus, and a small amount of lime to stabilize the medium. I broke up the soil nicely to ensure good aeration and filled all fabric pots evenly before planting the girls. Weather conditions over the past week were far from ideal — mostly cloudy with periods of heavy rain. Because of that, even after a strong start, growth has been a bit slower than expected. Now it’s time to see how the ladies respond to the transplant stress and whether they bounce back quickly in their new environment. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 13.06.2026 Hi Growmies, welcome to week 2 of my grow blog and thanks for tuning in! Weather and Conditions The weather has been more on the cold and rainy side lately. Only occasionally did the sun decide to show itself. Temperatures have been hovering around 19°C, so on most days I kept the front door of my greenhouse closed. Growth The three ladies took the transplant like absolute champs and didn't show any signs of transplant shock. They seem to enjoy the Plagron Batmix because they've really started to put in some work despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions. Snail Patrol Just like in previous years, I have to go on midnight snail patrol to make sure my ladies don't become prey to these slimy bastards. The struggle is real. First LST I started applying some light LST to get the ladies used to being bent down. It will take a few more days before they reach the edge of their fabric pots, then I can give them the full treatment. That's it for this week. Not much more to report at the moment. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 22.06.2026 Hi Growmies, welcome back to week 3 of my Fast Buds Auto Grow! Weather and Conditions The weather gods have gone completely insane. Here in good old Germany, it feels like everything is melting down — including me! 😅 We've been hitting around 36°C for the last few days, and even nighttime temperatures have stayed well above 25°C. Perfect conditions for a serious growth spurt. At this point, I already have to water the girls daily, which is quite unusual this early in the grow. Growth The ladies are absolutely thriving right now. Ever since I started the first round of LST, all shoots seem determined to race upwards. Of course, I'm not allowing that and keep bending them back down whenever necessary. Growth feels noticeably more explosive than in previous years. My guess is that the Plagron Bat Mix is playing a major role here. Combined with the weekly dose of Bokashi juice, the girls seem to be loving life. Pests Thanks to the hot weather, snails are no longer much of a concern. So far, I haven't spotted any unwanted visitors such as thrips or aphids either. Hopefully it stays that way, although all the ants and aphids in the neighborhood seem to be having one massive party on my two giant sunflowers. Looks like the distraction strategy is working pretty well. 😄 Continuing LST The girls have responded very well to the training and are already developing a nice structure. Unfortunately, I had a little accident while adjusting the LST on my Apricot girl. I managed to snap the main stem, which really pissed me off because she was growing exceptionally well. I patched her up with a bit of duct tape and now it's a waiting game. I'm curious to see if the top recovers and keeps growing. Cannabis can be surprisingly resilient, so fingers crossed. Let's see how well I can keep them under control if they continue growing at this pace. It's going to get interesting over the next couple of weeks. Final Thoughts That's it for this week. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 29.06.2026 Hi Growmies, welcome back to week 4 of my grow blog! Weather and Conditions Today marks the end of week 4, and the weather has been absolutely crazy. Daytime temperatures reached up to 38°C, while nighttime temperatures stayed around 26°C. This awesome weather has kicked the girls into overdrive. We haven't had a single drop of rain, and the ladies have been baking inside the greenhouse all week long — even with the doors wide open. Growth As I mentioned last week, it looks like the pre-flower stretch has already started for Papaya Cookies and Apricot. Tangie is a few days behind but has also started showing her first white pistils. At the moment, I have to adjust the LST daily because every branch seems determined to grow straight upwards. Next week will probably be the last week of active training. After that, I'll let the girls do their thing because I don't want to stress them too much during the flowering transition. Pests Still zero pests. I absolutely love it. 😎 Nutes Starting next week, I'll begin feeding the girls with TriPart nutrients from T.A. By then, most of the available nutrients from the Bat Mix should be depleted, so it will be interesting to see how they respond to their first proper feeding schedule. Final Thoughts Papaya Cookies is definitely the champion so far and has taken an early lead. That said, I already know from a previous grow that Tangie has a habit of surprising me later in the season, so I'm not counting anyone out just yet. That's it for this week. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 06.07.2026 Preflower stretch Hi Growmies, welcome back to week 5 of my Fast Buds Auto Grow! Weather and Conditions The past days have been warm but not extreme. No rain at all during this period, which is starting to become noticeable now — especially as my rain barrels are slowly running low. Temperatures have been stable in a comfortable summer range, without any real extremes. The greenhouse still builds up a good amount of heat during the day, but overall conditions are fairly balanced. Water management is slowly becoming more important again, as everything now depends fully on irrigation without any natural rainfall support. Growth The ladies have officially entered the pre-flower stage and the stretch is fully underway. Every day they are noticeably taller and are quickly filling out the available space. Papaya Cookies is currently leading the pack. She is already showing slightly coloured pistils, and the first proper bud sites are clearly forming. Apricot and Tangie are just a bit behind but are also stretching heavily and starting to stack nicely. At this point, I’ve stopped all LST. From here on out I don’t want to stress the plants during this sensitive transition phase anymore. The risk of hermies is not worth it, so I’ll let them grow naturally from now on. Feeding Last week I started feeding with T.A. TriPart nutrients together with T.A. CalMag, as I assumed the Plagron Bat Mix was starting to run low on nutrients. Apricot reacted with slight nutrient burn on a few leaf tips, while the other two handled the feeding without issues. Some older leaves have started yellowing, which suggests the soil is indeed slowly running out of available nutrients. For now I’ll slightly reduce the feed strength for Apricot and keep observing how all three respond over the next days. Pests First signs of leaf miner activity showed up on a few leaves. I removed the affected leaves immediately and will keep monitoring the situation closely, but for now everything remains under control. Apart from that, still no aphids, thrips or snail damage — so overall I’m happy on that front. Final Thoughts Despite a few small issues, I’m really happy with the overall progress. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 14.07.2026 Hi Growmies, welcome back to the grow show! Weather and Conditions The weather has been consistently warm this week, with temperatures hovering around 30°C and, once again, not a single drop of rain. Because of the stable weather, the girls didn't spend a single day inside the greenhouse. There simply wasn't any reason to move them under cover. My rain barrels, however, are slowly but surely running dry. Growth The explosive stretch has finally started to slow down. The number of new shoots and side branches isn't increasing much anymore, which means the girls are now putting all their energy into flower production. Bud development has really taken off this week, and all three ladies are already starting to build up a nice layer of resin. Papaya Cookies Papaya Cookies is still the clear front-runner. She's the biggest plant with the highest number of bud sites. The purple coloration is becoming more intense every day, and resin production is already impressive. Even at this early stage, her aroma is absolutely fantastic. Definitely my number one so far. Tangie Just like in my first grow with this strain, Tangie is taking her time. She's still stretching a little while slowly building her buds. Resin production has started nicely, and that unmistakable Tangie aroma is already coming through. I know from experience she'll reward my patience later on. Apricot Because I accidentally snapped her main stem during LST a couple of weeks ago, Apricot remains the smallest of the three and has the fewest bud sites. However, the buds she does have are incredibly frosty already. She's also by far the stickiest plant in the greenhouse, and her terpene profile is absolutely amazing. Every time I touch her, my fingers feel like they've been covered in glue. Feeding I'm not changing anything as long as the girls keep looking this happy. Currently they're getting T.A. TriPart nutrients at one-third of the recommended dosage twice a week, alternating with a weekly feeding of Bokashi juice. So far, they seem to love the routine. Pests Time to pay a little more attention. I've noticed some greenhouse aphids and quite a few ants on my cucumber plants. Luckily, none of the cannabis plants are affected at the moment. Since the girls are already well into flowering, I don't want to use neem oil anymore. If necessary, I'll switch to insecticidal soap, but for now everything is still under control. Final Thoughts I'm really happy with how this grow is progressing. The stretch is coming to an end, the buds are stacking nicely, resin production is increasing every day, and the first terpene profiles are becoming more noticeable. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 24.07.2026 Welcome to week number 7 of my Fast Buds Auto Grow, so let's go, Growmies! This week I was on vacation in Austria, so I had to leave the girls in my son's hands. Unfortunately, he forgot to water them on time 😅 Weather and Conditions Fortunately, the weather was on my side. Temperatures stayed between 23°C and 26°C, so the lack of watering didn't cause as much damage as it could have. Once again, we didn't get a single drop of rain. Growth The stretch has completely stopped, and the girls are now putting all their energy into building flowers. Because they missed a feeding while I was away, quite a few fan leaves have turned yellow. It isn't pretty, but that's life. Luckily, the buds themselves still look healthy and continue to fatten up. Papaya Cookies Papaya Cookies is still my favorite. Her colors are getting more beautiful every day, and the aroma is becoming incredibly sweet and intense. If she keeps developing like this, I think she could be ready in about two weeks. If the weather remains stable, though, I'll let her ripen for as long as possible to maximize quality. Tangie Tangie is still taking her time, just like I expected. Interestingly, her leaves stayed much greener than the other two, which tells me she's probably not as hungry for nutrients. Bud development isn't as explosive either, but that's most likely due to her sativa genetics. The fruity Tangie aroma is already unmistakable and absolutely mouth-watering. Apricot Apricot has started showing beautiful purple fan leaves. I'm not entirely sure whether that's simply her genetics or a reaction to the nutrient deficiency, but either way she looks stunning. She's easily the frostiest plant of the three, and every time I touch her my fingers become incredibly sticky. I have a feeling she's going to be something special. Feeding As soon as I got back from vacation, the girls received a good feeding of T.A. TriPart nutrients. Hopefully they'll recover quickly and finish strong during the remaining weeks. Pests Still no pests on the cannabis plants. The ants and aphids are still busy attacking my cucumbers, and as long as they stay there, I'm perfectly happy to let them. Final Thoughts My vacation definitely caused a small setback, and I'm sure it'll cost me a little yield in the end. But honestly, I'd rather harvest slightly less if the quality stays high. Smoking_Joe_Frazier 02.08.2026 Hi Growmies, welcome back to week 8 of my Fast Buds Auto Grow! Weather and Conditions The weather has been almost perfect for the girls, with plenty of sunshine, high temperatures and still no rain at all. If these conditions continue for another two weeks, I might make it through the grow without any major issues. Fingers crossed! Unfortunately, my rain barrels are completely empty by now, so I've had to switch to tap water. Growth The girls have completely stopped stretching and are now focusing all their energy on swelling their buds and producing more resin. Papaya Cookies No more side branches are developing, but the buds are getting noticeably longer and fatter every day. Her smell has become incredibly intense. With the right wind, you can already smell her from the front of my house. Definitely not the best strain if you have neighbours with sensitive noses. The colours are absolutely gorgeous as well—a real eye-catcher. I estimate she'll be ready for harvest in about two weeks. Tangie When it comes to bulking up, she has now overtaken Papaya Cookies with ease. Just like in my 2024 grow, she's producing long, candle-shaped colas. The genetics seem to be incredibly consistent. The aroma reminds me of freshly peeled oranges, and I absolutely love it. I think she'll need around three more weeks before she's ready. Apricot Apricot is also showing some beautiful colours, although she'll probably end up being the smallest yielder of the three. But... she easily has the best aroma of them all. In my opinion, she even smells better than Papaya Cookies, although not nearly as overpowering. Fast Buds really created a beautiful terpene profile with this one. Her buds aren't as large as the others, but they already look as if they've been coated in thick sugar. She's by far the frostiest girl in the greenhouse. I have a feeling she's going to deliver a seriously potent smoke. I also expect her to finish in about two weeks. Feeding Nothing has changed this week. I'm still feeding T.A. TriPart as before. Over the next week I'll switch Apricot and Papaya Cookies to T.A. FinalPart, while Tangie will stay on TriPart for another week because of her longer flowering time. Pests Still nothing to report. Looks like the grow gods are on my side this year. 🤞 Final Thoughts Overall, it's been a solid—though not spectacular—grow so far. Missing a feeding while I was on holiday probably cost me a bit of yield, but that's perfectly fine. The vacation was definitely worth it.
