High School Reunion 2.0

SleepyChow Day 9 Alright friends and Gromies, welcome back to little Hermine 😁 She's developing beautifully and looking really healthy. The leaves are neither pale nor too dark—pretty much spot on. Last week I mixed 200 ml of water with 2 ml of beet FPJ and watered it directly around the seedling. The effect was noticeable right away: even the cover crop within the watering zone responded with vigorous new growth. It definitely seemed to appreciate the extra boost. Since then, I've only been watering with plain water. Over the last eight days, I only watered lightly twice because the soil is still holding plenty of moisture. With the cover crop not fully established yet and Hermine still being quite small, her water consumption remains low. Temperatures are expected to rise again over the coming week, so it'll be interesting to see how she handles the warmer conditions. If everything continues as planned, I think I'll start gently tying her down and introducing some light training in about a week. Life inside the pot is absolutely thriving. As you can see from the photos—especially around the avocado—there's a lot of activity going on in the soil ecosystem. Exactly what I like to see! 🐛 A few days ago, I also added around 15 worms from my vermiculture bin to the pot. The main goal was to help keep the soil loose and active. With a living soil setup, every little worker counts, and I'm hoping they'll contribute to improving soil structure while helping to process organic matter along the way. ?🌱 Time will tell how quickly they settle in, but I'm always happy to add a few more members to the underground workforce! 😄

SleepyChow Hello friends, and welcome back to our little Hermine 😬 Despite the hot weather, she's developing quite nicely. The leaf color looks great, and the overall structure of this young plant is looking very promising. Interestingly, she's stretching a bit more than her sister at the moment. On the other hand, her leaves are still relatively small, but we'll see how that develops over time. She's still very young, and a lot can change in the coming weeks. Even with temperatures reaching 35°C and beyond, she's handling everything surprisingly well. A few days ago, she received 1 liter of water with 50 ml of EM to help keep the soil biology active and thriving. More recently, I gave her another liter with pumpkin FPE for a small potassium boost to help strengthen her and ease some of the stress caused by the heat. I've also trimmed back the cover crop around her a little and started gently bending her toward the left side. The plan is to gradually bend her back toward the right in the near future, helping to strengthen the stem and, through some LST, turn her into a nice bushy plant. So far, Hermine seems happy and healthy. Let's see what she has in store for us over the next few weeks! Happy growing! 🌱

SleepyChow Hi Folks, short Update: Last week we had temperatures of 40°C. In my tent were over 40 degrees. But Hermine didnt gave a fuck,so.... what can i say? Shes healthy and in a few days ill change the light schedule to 12/12. See u 👍🏼

SleepyChow Hi folks! It's been 15 days since I switched the light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12. About a week after the flip, she started showing her first flowers and white pistils. Thanks to the LST, Hermine is now also pushing out plenty of growth from the lower side branches, and she began stretching pretty soon after the switch as well. She's still staying quite small, though. I have a few theories as to why. It could simply be a unique phenotype. Another possibility is that this is already the fifth or sixth run in the same pot, and I barely gave the soil any rest between grows. There might still be a lot of old root material in there, reducing the space available for new roots to expand. Of course, there could be other reasons too. Either way, I'm not worried. I'll just let her do her thing and see what she turns into. So far she's simply a very compact little plant, and I'm curious to see how she develops from here. About two weeks ago, I gave her an aerated compost tea to support her through this stage. I also added a few extra potassium-rich ingredients, as it's quite common for plants to show signs of potassium deficiency during the stretch. My goal was to help prevent that before it became an issue. I also included a source of organic phosphorus to give her a gentle push into flowering and support a smooth transition into the bloom phase. In the meantime, I also watered with my pumpkin FPE twice to give the soil a little potassium boost. It also helps stimulate the soil microbiology, making it easier for the plant to access all the nutrients it needs. I cut the cover crop back quite heavily as well. The idea is to gradually shift the soil into a more fungal-dominant phase by providing more dead organic material for the mycelium to feed on. Hopefully, that will help support the plant throughout the flowering stage. See u 👍🏼

SleepyChow Hi Friends of extraordinary plants! I'm back with our little Hermine, who really did stay little. She definitely would have benefited from a longer vegetative period. One thing I've noticed is that all of the High School Reunion plants I've grown seem to veg a bit slower. I'm not sure whether that's down to the genetics or my living soil. As I mentioned before, I'm planning to let these pots rest for a month or two before the next run. Hopefully that'll give the old root mass enough time to break down properly and allow the soil ecosystem to reset a little. After that, I'll give these pots another shot. About two weeks ago she got an AACT, which she absolutely loved. Then, around a week ago, I watered her with a pumpkin FPE to support the bulking phase. What can I say? She's developing nicely. Sure, she ended up on the smaller side, but she makes up for it with an absolutely insane terpene profile. It's incredibly intense. The dominant aroma is honestly just like multivitamin juice—I'm not kidding! That sweet-and-sour fruitiness is unbelievably strong, and I absolutely love it See u 👍🏼

SleepyChow Hi folks 😁 Hermine is unfortunately still kind of the perpetual problem child of the bunch. About three weeks ago, I discovered that she had started to herm. So yeah ..Hermine is a hermie.😂 Luckily, I was able to remove the balls, and since then, nothing else seems to have happened. I also haven’t spotted any seeds so far, so I’m really curious to see what things will look like once harvest time comes around. Her overall appearance is pretty interesting, too. She stayed quite small and would definitely have benefited from a longer veg period. Her bud structure is very sativa-leaning. She’s foxtailing quite heavily, and compared to her sister, there’s noticeably less indica influence in the pistils and the overall shape of the buds. The leaves themselves look pretty hybrid, though, so that’s not really the unusual part. The yield probably won’t be anything spectacular, but one positive thing is that her buds are actually quite dense. The aroma is really pleasant as well. Both the top and base notes lean heavily toward multivitamin juice, with a light — or maybe slightly more pronounced — hint of candy compared to her sister. Overall, she smells really nice. I’m definitely curious to see how her effects will differ from her sister’s once she’s finished

SleepyChow Hi my fellow growies! 🌱 It’s been another week since I wrote a little update. Hermine is doing reasonably okay so far. She’s just a bit of a weirdo — but what else should I expect? 😂 Her entire life cycle has taken place in way-too-hot conditions, and that has definitely put her through some serious stress. As I mentioned last week, she briefly developed some male pollen sacs. I hopefully removed them in time. So far, I haven’t been able to spot any seeds, but honestly, I’ll only know for sure once she’s harvested. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed. 🤞 What really stands out is that she looks like a tiny autoflower, while at the same time she has a very Sativa-leaning appearance. I mean… crazy, crazy foxtailing — that’s all I’m saying. 😂 I’m really curious to see how she develops from here. The terps are still very much like multivitamin juice, but there’s increasingly a sweet, candy-like note coming through as well. She is really, really sweet. 🍬 We’ll see. It shouldn’t be too much longer before she’s ready for harvest. 🌱✂️
