Gelato Auto FB First grow

MrGreenToe Watering roughly the same .2L daily. Seems like a lot from what I have researched, but the top 2 inches dry out by the end of each light cycle. towlies were planted a few days behind sew's. Slowly dropped RH to 70%. wasn't sure if white discoloration was from high rh and light intensity. If not next most likely culprit is the small white aphids running through the soil getting out of hand due to high humidity. Sprayed most affected plant with all-natural gnat spray. population decreased, couldn't spot one today upon watering. Getting jeweler loop to better diagnose and treat.

MrGreenToe Plants entering pre flower. The short stocky plant without any LST is behind the rest. Been using tray 2 grow for 4 3 gals with a 6.5 PH reservoir. First grow chugging along sprayed some cal mag in foliar on leaves this week. Burned the newest growth tips this week when they made a burst of height going into pre flower. Avoiding added nutrients as much as I can for this cycle to learn basics. The leaf deformities occurred second week with toxicity burn along with a incident with trellis slingshotting some leaves 🤦🏼‍♂️. Also 3 of these guys are on week 5 and the rest on week 4.

MrGreenToe Returned from a trip to find the canopy height very uneven. Decided to get rid of one short plant that was being shaded to decrease the risk of bud rot. Im only using water at this point. If I could go back anywhere in this grow… I would have made sure to flush and re-amend my soil before leaving at the start of pre flower. This whole run was nutrients was mainly from soil and a recharge tea used a week after this diary entry. Everyday I used plain water with a small amount of calmag added to some waters. Since this is my first grow I plan to run some various nutrient tests for my second grow later into the diary.

MrGreenToe This next week one of my plants really got its first trichome coating. This plant also recieved a small addition of gaia greens bloom amendment. The rest remained slighly behind. After I examined the stems I found many interesting results from the first toxicity burn early in vegative. One of the plants stems grow as if it was FIM’ed with many more small branches shooting out. Seemed like a top site turned into 6 main branches. I removed that plant due to its height and lack of stem size from being an auto-flower. The second oldest looking plant began to juice up this week. The second oldest also was the only plant that received a proper topping and has many side branches as large as main colas of other plants.

MrGreenToe Since Im using mainly ocean forest and bio 365 bioflower I avoided flushing for the first plant harvest. In fear of ruining my first harvest I bought a lightly used cannatrol machine. If you have any advice on your favorite dry/cure settings feel free to reach out or drop a comment. The overall nug isnt too impressive in size but the trichomes make up for it. Will get to test out the first nug next week. When that finishes I plant to harvest the entirety of the first plant and possibly the second upcoming. As you can see the next up coming has the highest amount of trichome coating and I want to do my best to harvest it at optimal time. Pushing for weeks 11-13 to finish off the rest of the girls. Im sorry the photos aren't the best fell off hard on the diary during my vacation. Starting a new diary this week for my freshly sprouted solfire Miami Mami x2 and ethos grape balls of fire rbx. I plan to do more experiments with nutrients down the line. I also plan to keep the medium more controlled than this run. Will be using bio all with a bottom layer of bio flower. Im a big supporter from constant good growers pointing me toward this brand of soil especially since i’m not sure how much I want to dabble in hydroponics yet.
