The buds had started filling out at the 4 week mark, and were getting frostier. The yellowing had got worse so the bloom feed was raised to 4ml/L.
I checked and found a few hermies in the lower buds of the plants (except the Crystal Candy) so they were plucked out. I'm not sure if it was caused by me removing too many yellow leaves at once, or from my erratic feeding because I panicked a bit because of the yellowing leaves. I'd also made a big mistake of feeding Cal Mag when my water is hard already and think it might have been a toxicity that was causing the yellowing. When checking on my local water board's website I found that the Ca/Mg ratio is 4/1 so this has probably been the cause of most of my problems in the past. I even tried adding Epsom salts to balance it out a bit so this probably caused a toxicity of both Ca and Mg, locking other nutrients out. Anyway, any of these problems could have been the stress culprit causing the plants to hermie so I had a re-think and tried sorting things out the best I could. Luckily I had no more hermie problems.
