How long after the final watering should I leave them to starve and then how long do I leave them in the dark after that?

Harvest when the soil is dry. Studies have shown that terpene levels are the highest to right before lights on. Extended periods of darkness is a controversial topic but many growers do a 24-36 hour dark period. If you do an extended dark period make sure you have proper airflow to help prevent mold. Personally I didn't see any increase in quality from leaving the lights out.

So far this has been a fun grow for my first grow, but it has been night and day growing the Purple Mtn. Majesty next to her. This plant is extremely sensitive and will respond poorly to over feeding / under feeding / heat / cold and even too much wind. Shes a baby, lol. It has been a great learning experience but be warned. She also is very thirsty in flower, she drinks almost twice as much as the Purple Mtn. Majesty. She is also very slow at developing her buds. For awhile I thought I did something wrong because she wasn't growing nearly as many bud sites but after a mid flower defoliate her secondary sites exploded with resin and size. She is also starting to pack on buds and I have heard she takes a long time to finish so I am going to give her as much time as she needs, little brat.
