Enochian Been a while since I posted a diary. Had some great results with Cherry Alien and special Kush this year so far and I feel confident my techniques are working. I have cut down to 1 tent now as space was becoming an issue but I am acheiving around 3 to 4 oz a grow that will last me to my next harvest. I am still growing under a 200W. Light in a 2x2 and managing the enviroment very well. I have upgraded my lights and ventilation with smart equipment and a controller that really helps dial in my vpd for each stage as well as having the option to adjust the enviroment when I am not home. I was born in the 1960's so this technology is amazing in my view.
I have 2 x Melon Mosh from Original Sensible Seeds recently popped for this diary.

Enochian Still tweaking the enviroment to maintain around 1.1 vpd. Got a no name brand humidifier to help deal with the temps here. Had no rain for weeks and wildfires its been so hot. Ladies are doin great though. New lights and fans with controller mean I can manipulate conditions in tent without having to open door. Started with half strength nutes as they are being pushed a bit hard. 2 hours extra daylight than I have tried before. All seems good after re potting. Good week.

Enochian Both ladies have been topped and have spent the last week enjoying temps of 26c and a humidity of around 67% with VPD around 1 to 1.1. They seem to thrive in this enviroment and have gone from strength to strength. It has been tempting to push them harder but I wanted to try a 'by the book' grow and keep variables within the parameters for each stage of growth. Lights at 50% etc. Much easier to control enviroment with smart equipment. All in all a good week.
I have recently found that Biobizz recommend NOT to PH balance after adding nutes! I have always PH balanced my feeds before watering with no ill effects. I will continue to balance feeds for the remainder of this grow cycle but as I have 2x Melon Mosh seeds in storage I will replicate this grow with same variables but will follow manufacturers recommendations and allow the substrate to balance itself for comparison.

Enochian The girls are coming on nicely now. Just starting pre flower this week. Had to relocate tent due to space requirements and stealth. Tent is now squirreled away in a pantry slighty bigger than the tent. Added new fan and dehumidifier to the mix. Taking plenty of water and feed. No signs of stress or uptake problems so far and all is going swimmingly. Getting ready for flowering. Lights up to 68%, scrog net at the ready.
UPDATE
Closed loop dehumidifier system been running all night, without short cycling. (Lights on 18.00 to 14.00). Took a little tweaking here and there but canopy enjoyed a VPD of 1.1 to 1.2 consistently. I am approaching lights off now, we will see if the closed loop will handle lights off humidity peak. So far I am impressed with this system.

These ladies have grown beyond my expectations. Not sure if it is genetics or the dialled in approach to VPD, perhaps both. My other grows have produced smaller plants in the past as I have never had to move light up higher than normal but these girls are flying up. I am curious as to how tall they will get without using a scrog net. I am pretty sure I can accommodate them till harvest but I have installed a net just in case. Smell much stronger than past grows at this stage too.
I started these from seed while I finished a photoperiod grow so they spent first week or so on 12/12 light schedule. After harvest I ramped light up to 20/4. In doing this I may have misjudged how old they are. Diary says 5 weeks but they look more like 7 weeks to me. No worries though, as they seem to be thriving. Aiming for a VPD of 1.2 to 1.3 for coming weeks. PPFD at around 650 to 700 across canopy. Had to defoliate large leaves and tried a lollipop for first time to even out humidity and temp. Lots occurring in a small space. Having checked the info on OSS website Melon Mosh is a fast cycle of 60 to 65 days which would account for quick growth.

Enochian Had to fold the stretch under scrog this week. Going great guns. Opened lower bud sites and spread the canopy. Outside temps and humidity swings have been managed well by the D12 and fan working together to keep enviroment stable. Had another good week.
