BINNI Week three complete, the BPP are growing at an absurd speed and looking beautiful. I did a light defoliation, removing the new leaves that were growing and covering the lower budsites, and now the side branches have reached the same height as the main cola. The Gorilla Z are smaller and I've started spotting the first pistils, though I think it's early even for autos. But let's see what happens. I also defoliated them and I can see the lower branches growing better now.

BINNI Fourth week has passed — I'm a bit late posting due to being busy, but the photos are from the day they hit four weeks. I can already say this was the last week of veg. I did some heavier defoliation on the plants and did LST, setting up a net for a scrog. They're looking beautiful, lots of bud sites exposed, and the outlook is great. I've been struggling a bit with watering since the space isn't ideal, but my water pump system has been helping a lot.

BINNI End of week five, they're looking beautiful and full, lots of bud sites catching sun, and the outlook is as good as it gets. They're clearly stretching, and this was officially their first week of flowering. The Gorilla Z looks more advanced, even though I expected the BPP to finish first. I'm pretty excited and slightly worried the tent's going to get too crowded, but we'll keep an eye on it as we go.

BINNI Today they complete 6 weeks, and this week the effects of El Niño hit hard. I’ve been battling days above 30°C with low humidity. Today, even with a lot of effort, I’m managing to keep the average around 30°C and 40% RH. But rain and colder weather are forecast for next week. Crazy. At the beginning of the week I top-dressed each pot with 30g of Tropikali Sauce Flora (biochar, bokashi, rock dust, seaweed, vegetable and neem meals, bat guano, leonardite, and a microbial blend including Bacillus, yeasts, Glomus and nitrogen-fixing bacteria). They’re doing well, although I think they’re suffering a little from the heat these days. I just hope it’s not slowing down their development. I’m keeping defoliation moderate. I’d like to do a better lollipopping, but with these 4 plants the space inside the grow is just unmanageable. It’s incredible how many branches they developed compared to my last photoperiods. Zero hope of getting a really purple BPP with these temperatures around here… Overall, I’m really happy with what I’m seeing, and I’m definitely going with only 3 pots on my next grow.

BINNI Week seven was a milder week after the unseasonably intense dry heat, I had a week of nearly perfect humidity, hovering around 50%, with temperatures staying between 22 and 27°C (72–81°F). The two Gorilla Zkittlez are developing very differently, the one in front is still a bit thin but developing, while the one in the back is looking beautiful, bulking up nicely and promising to be a robust plant. The BPPs are developing similarly to each other. They don't seem to be impressing me yet, but they're delivering what's expected. I'm still missing a stronger smell. With my last Lemon Kush grow, by this stage the smell was already present. But each terpene has its own timing. I removed a few leaves, but I'm already at a stage where I don't plan to mess with it much. I'm preparing a compost tea for the next watering tomorrow that I'll give more details next week. This coming weekend is looking like it'll bring absurd heat around here, but with a drastic drop the following week. lol These temperatures are already having me research the best genetics to handle the intense heat at the end of the year...
