This sweet little girl is an absolute champion. She impresses me a little more everyday and she does indeed look great. The lower canopy has good lateral shoot development starting to reach outward. Weather & Stress Management: August outdoor heat has been brutal with temps pushing around 99°F. The top new growth is showing slight heat canoeing/tacoing along the leaf serrations—a direct response to the intense direct sun and VPD spikes. To help her push through the heatwaves, I've kept the roots protected under a thick layer of straw mulch and implemented chilled water applications (~62°F) alongside bottom-watering. She took today's full-strength Strive + Fish & Kelp + Myco+ feeding like a champ. Despite the August sun testing her limits, she continues to reach for the sky! The only training I've done with this plant or defoliation or anything is removing the bottom most nodes and leaves and that's it! She is completely natural just doing her thing outside in nature it's beautiful 😆 I had to take half of this week's notes by hand when my cell phone was out for a few days. Crown loaded with clusters of white pistils. 📝 Grower’s Notes & Plant Observations The Flower Switch & Massive Stretch: Banana Frost has gone into overdrive, leaping from 23.0" all the way to 39.0" tall! She is officially flowering, and the top terminal cola is completely crowned with dense bundles of fresh, healthy white pistils. Structure & Canopy: She is towering in the center of the net house, pushing right up toward the ceiling peak. Lateral branches have caught up with solid vertical projection and great node separation. The bottom-watering routine combined with recent rain intervals has clearly supercharged her root network. Weather & IPM: Outdoor natural airflow and recent rain have kept her looking smooth, vibrant green, and relaxed after that earlier extreme heatwave. Blue sticky cards are actively hanging throughout the net house to keep pest pressure at zero as resin glands and pistils start packing on. Time to let her stack! Much of her waterings have been plain water or rain because just about all of them are quite dark showing that they're just slightly overfed I packed there soil with a lot of nutes. Besides all that there's not really much to say. This thing is just very impressive I cannot believe the explosive growth she has had over the past week. Grower’s Notes & Plant Observations Bud Development & Cola Formation: Banana Frost has officially capped off her first full week of flower, reaching 44.0 inches tall. The main apical crown has shifted from simple pistil bunches into dense floral clusters. Side branch nodes are forming distinct button sites with pistils stacking tightly from top to bottom. Structure & Canopy: She is utilizing the entire vertical height of the net house. Node spacing along the central stem is open and airy, allowing abundant natural sunlight and breeze to reach deep into the mid and lower bud sites. Foliage & Feeding Response: The pre-rain Langbeinite top dress combined with the chilled Strive feed provided a balanced nutrient kick. Sugar leaves around the apical cola show some slight heat tacoing from high ambient daytime temps, but overall fan leaf health is solid and holding deep green color. Looking forward to resin production kicking in as she moves into Week 2 of flower! Besides the langbeinite i dont think i gave them much of any food. They got a lot of rain. I need a tarp to keep these maturing buds dry. But worse news still. There are probably more than one pest on these damn outdoor plants. Notice the waxy deformed growth on top. Idk how anyone grows successfully outdoors its a nightmare. Im gonna hit em w spinosad and or insecticidal soap. This is going to be my last outdoor run. I might not even let them finish.
