was in the dispensary with my wife they had a basket of seeds joked around that we should try growing not expecting a go for it!
picked up some blue moon seeds dropped them in water until they cracked went from there to paper towel untill tap root was 1/4-1/2 inch long and then into jiffy peat pellets 4 days from seed and i now have 3 babies happily growing, gonna wait till i have more root development and pot up into a 4" pot and then finally into a CuFt fabric pot. right most plant may have been stretching as she was up first and i still had the humidity cover on or its just cause shes a day older, left and middle broke soil at the exact same time and are also the exact same size. looking forward to continuing this journey.
The girls are growing nicely haven’t decided if they are stretching or not right now led is only running veg so 100w. I’m thinking I’m either gonna repot them up to a 4” pot tonight when I get home or tomorrow morning. Gotta get a fan on them and see if they are still looking stretched after I may be switching on veg+bloom for the full 185w
I Have decided my girls are not stretching now all fan leaves are remaining tight together... I lowered the like to 12” last Wednesday as well as potted in 4” pots as I was experiencing some yellowing of the first serrated leaves, by Friday the leaves on two plants were curling like tacos, Saturday morning I decided to raise the light back to 18” and angle the fan down at them some more. When I checked them on Sunday the leaves seem to have went back to normal however are slightly deformed now, growth is really starting to pick up
Ok I have decided that these girls possibly do not like me.... started with possible stretching in week one then moved onto cupping in week two. week three we saw some yellowing and now in week four we have some major clawing which I have repositioned my fan to try alleviate this issue. we are also seeing some yellowing in the first serrated leaves so I’m unsure if I’m having a nitrogen deficiency but they are grown in a premium organic potting mix and made sure that there was no time release fertilizers in it so I should be ok for nutrients. I have been watering every other or third day I wait until the top is bone dry before soaking pot through this doesn’t seem to have a effect on the clawing symptoms... I may try raising my light a little more see but pretty much this has turned into 1000ways to kill a plant.
started week 5 watering with 25% fert solution and the plants seemed to respond well so on wensdays watering I hit them with a 50% solution and the leaves have greened up nicely also decided to FIM the 2 strong plants at this time. Saturday’s watering was with distilled water only and reported on Sunday into their final home 6gal bags. Branches are just starting to grow in between nodes so hopefully growth takes off and I can swap these to flower as planned at 12weeks (7more) weakest plant i dont want to throw out so i decided to plant it outside and see what happens
Not much of an update this week didnt like how much light was being lost with the plants being in the corner so I built a ghetto fabulous tent out of a emergency blanket found at the dollar store. plants are growing quickly ,not sure I FIMed them correctly I got half the top node and parts of the other side branches...plants seem to be still growing vertically altho side shoots are about an inch now...time will tell also no signs of sex yet
Week 7 now not much to report messed up the fim for sure as it started to grow another set of nodes....so I decided too then top it. Side shoot are really growing now... other then that enjoy the pictures
plants grew a little more and the branches were long enough to do some LST this week...depending how fast they grow hoping to swap to flower in 2 weeks
Week 2 of flower suspected male is for sure a male now and has been moved outside to finish will end up running through bubble bags after harvest.... female is drinking a crap ton of water 1gallon every other day now and has stretched double its size! I will be researching defoliation Soon and decide if I want to do it I want to get the most out of this plant that I can
week 3 flower Man this is a thirsty plant! Still doing gallon every other day.... I really can’t believe I went from all thoes bad weeks in the begging and thinking I was killing them to this... any more experienced folks wanna guess yield longest branches are 2 ft got 4 of thoes and then the smaller buddy Center (prob gonna defoil once more this weekend) has maby 8-10 smaller branches around 12 ish inches
