Moguai80 Week 1: The Kickoff On July 14th, our three ladies (Blue Zenith & Zingatsu from Original Sensible Seeds, along with the Super Boof from Barney's Farm) broke ground. Propagation & Setup: Germinated in Root Riots, then transplanted into approx. 600 ml of seed-starting soil (amended with kelp, malted barley, and alfalfa). The planting hole was pre-inoculated directly with mycorrhizae/trichoderma tabs to build a solid foundation in the living super soil. Lighting: The light is running dimmed at 40% (~130 Watts) with a height of 90 to 95 cm to keep the seedlings happy and unstressed. The Start: While the Super Boof (SB) was the early sprinter during hatching, the Zingatsu (Z) showed a little bit of early drama/stretching before quickly bouncing back and finding her rhythm.

Moguai80 Week 2: Growth & The Secret "Super-Mulch" Layer During this week, the three seedlings started building strong roots and pushing out their first true sets of fan leaves. While top-side growth is still in its early stages, plenty of magic is happening underneath. The highlight of this week was applying the mulch layer: Material: Fine hemp mulch was laid down with a protective ring around the young plants. This ring ensures the stems aren't choked off and get plenty of airflow. The layer is about 2 to 3 cm thick to protect the living soil from drying out. The Special Prep (Pro Level): Instead of putting it on dry, I pre-soaked the hemp mulch in a custom mix containing Fulvital Liquid, Amino Power Plus, and EM Süd Carbo fertilizer dissolved in 1 liter of water. This way, valuable nutrients and microbes are introduced directly to the surface right from the start to support the super-soil ecosystem. Setup Update: The plants are developing flawlessly under the current light settings (40% / ~130W, 90–95 cm distance).

Moguai80 Week 3: First Top & Reaching New Heights Heading into week three, the plants are picking up the pace nicely, establishing a solid root zone beneath the super-mulch layer and pushing out multiple new nodes. Training & Topping: This week marks an important milestone—I performed the first topping on the Blue Zenith (BZ). Removing the dominant growing tip encourages the lower branches to catch up and lays the foundation for an even, bushier canopy. Feeding & Care: The soil web is thriving thanks to the biological prep work from last week. Watering continues on schedule with the regular tea/water mix, keeping the microbes active and happy. Setup Update: Lights remain at 40% (~130 Watts) with a height of 90 to 95 cm, and the plants are responding exceptionally well to the stable environment.

Moguai80 Grow Diary Update: Day 26 from Sprout Sprouted directly from the soil on July 15, bringing us to 26 days of total vegetative growth today. The ladies are absolute beasts right now, showing incredible vigor, a deep rich green color, and explosive overall development. Here are the key updates from the tent: Top-Dress & Soil Boost (This Weekend): We worked 10 g of Neem cake into the mulch layer for each pot, gently watered in with 500 ml of Flora peat-water mix enriched with 5 ml of EM Süd Carbo Dünger. Bottom Feed Boost: From underneath, they got an extra kick—1.5 ml of Fulvital Liquid and 1.5 ml of Amino Power Plus per 0.5 L of the peat-water blend. Living Soil Magic: Look closely at the mulch layer and you’ll spot tiny mushrooms popping up—a clear sign of a thriving, highly active microbial soil food web! Genetics & Highlights: * The Blue Zenith is showing massive structural strength with gigantic fan leaves reaching a full 20 cm in diameter. The Zingatsu is throwing out a killer double-shoot setup right out of the node. The Superboof is taking things a bit steadier, but holding strong. Lighting & Environment: We bumped the light intensity up to 60% (pushing roughly 192 W out of the 320 W total). With the plants standing strong at around 25 cm height, our light distance is currently sitting right at 65–70 cm. Getting ready to flip these monsters into flower by the end of the week. Stay tuned!

Moguai80 Grow Journal Update – Early Bloom Phase Lifecycle Status: Day 2 of Bloom (12/12 light schedule initiated; plants emerged from the living soil medium around July 14th/15th). Canopy & Training: The plants are currently standing just over 30 cm tall, featuring an exceptionally dense structure with short internodes and robust, highly-branched side shoots. Systematic micro-scrogging is well underway, with new growth regularly tucked beneath the net to maximize horizontal spread. Canopy-to-light distance averages between 55 cm to 60 cm. Lighting: Powered by a high-end 5-bar LED system running efficiently at 80% capacity (~260W), delivering an optimal, stress-free PPFD sweet spot tailored for the transition phase, while preserving hardware longevity. Soil & Microbiome: Thriving organic super soil environment, highlighted by active saprophytic fungal blooms acting as natural bio-indicators of a rich, mineralizing soil food web. Regular inputs of Fulvital Liquid and Amino Power Plus continue to support vigorous microbial activity and nutrient cycling.

Moguai80 Update: The Lazy Girls in "Mud Mode" A quick update from the tent—if you can even call it that, since these girls are basically just lazying around and blocking up the space. Who even needs the high-speed rush of a hydroponic overfed goose when you can just comfortably, down-to-earth, and completely without laboratory pipettes bog down in organic living soil luxury? Sure, against the sterile, high-pressure hydro competition on the usual portals, we obviously stand zero chance with our stinky black earth, bokashi, and microbial mumble-jumble. Unfortunately, it's just turned out to be an organic grow—you do what you can. The Hard Facts to Complain About: Size & Stretch: The girls have finally picked up some decent speed and are standing tall at a solid 55 cm. The SCROG Net: Contrary to any actual athletic ambitions, these lazy girls have completely overgrown the net from corner to corner. The colas are packed tight. Light & Climate: Up top, our custom sun-like high-end spectrum is still burning away (CMH vibe, special peaks, and full-throttle Ra90+). We're pulling a stable 260 Watts at 80% power, keeping a constant distance of 50 to 55 cm to the highest tips, running at a cozy 25 to 26°C, and holding the VPD strictly between 1.0 and 1.4 kPa. This setup is locked in until the finish line. But just look at the pictures for yourselves and judge this absolute state of misery. The roots are downing their daily liter of water in a heartbeat, the soil makes that lovely squishing sound when watered, and the tent is completely packed. We'll just suffer our way through the bloom.

I also grew Zingatsu recently, one of the best strains I've ever had. Super flavourful. Best of luck
