Hey, saw your question: That looks like nute stain so you should be all good. I'm using Canna Aqua as well and the roots look the same. Can't remember if it's A or B bottle which has that very dark liquid, that's the one causing it. To prevent any foul smell or sliminess, get Hydroguard or Silver Bullet roots to avoid root rot issues. I've tried both and didn't get any problems. Silver Bullet is h2o2 based so it's suitable with sterile growing only, not with organic/biological products
