You won't get any closer to the original Runtz in the German-speaking area.
The Runtz Crew did release Runtz first, but for the following years, the whole story just kind of stagnated. Until Cookies showed interest in marketing the whole thing. (Whether they were still tinkering with the genetics back then, I don't know, especially since Cookies owns the original Gelato in their bank). In any case, the Cookies Runtz is the first commercially marketed Runtz that made a huge impact back then.
