Harvest day for this girl!!!
Only 50g dry but it could have been much worse had I not scraped 2" of the depleted soil she was in and replaced with fresh compost in week 3. This has actually been a turning point in my growing and learning.
She is a fab high sativa strain. Very frosty.
Never ever reuse soil it’s pointless. (And you kill fairy’s)
Buy compost bin for garden and dump it in there with some grass clippings and compost the soil. Then you can mix cheaper Sphagnum peat moss 50/50 moss soil. Or 10%coco 40% compost 50% peat moss👍🏼
@Tauto710, fully highjacked Dunks beautiful diary here but it’s some good info being adedd!
I’ve been using EWC tea with great results. Saved plants from root rot and fought off a Cyanobacteria infection in hydro just with EWC tea.
I’ve been amending my compost and coco with Guanokalong (High In P and Ca), insect frass (Contains Chitin), EWC & Mykos.
I also top dress and reamend in week 3 of flower (after the stretch)
I’m talking specifically autos. If I grew photos on the regular and had the space I would reuse my soil for pot. It doesn’t go to waste... goes outside in my beds :)
LABserum will be the next big thing, trust...
@PharmaZ,
I currently have 4 cubic feet of sphagum moss and plan on adding that along with big n chunky perlite , pumice and some rice hulls (rice hulls great for aeration and providing silica). That is my goal to add those into my compost, soil base, and amendments and let cook for month and use. At the moment I bought pre bagged living soil and made a quick batch of super soil lacking amendments, which isnt a big deal since I am growing autos.
I intended to already have my soil cooking , but after more researching I came across a website that was explaining why you shouldnt use certain ingredients, and so I wanted to make sure before I drop 400 dollars that I do not fuck up a big batch. I have made super soil before and had great results with it, but this go around is next level for me as last grow i never even did compost teas, and wow, compost teas really are a must.
