So far, this little lady is doing good. She has had a few little brown spots on her leaves since day 1. Might be damage from shedding her seed shell as it was stuck for a bit. Hopefully it will improve.
Day 10 - Started to spritz with RO water and nutrients today.
Day 13- Watering with RO water. She's not growing very fast but looks okay so far.
This young lady has had a couple of brown specks on 2 of her leaves since the beginning. Otherwise, she seems to be doing okay; growing little by little.
Day 18 - Despite the first couple of leaves with small brown spots, I think everything else is looking pretty good.
Day 20 - She's sure spreading out!. A little height added as well.
Day 24 - She got sprayed down with tap water to kill/remove any pollen that may have got on her from a hermie in a previous grow.😡 Then she got a drink of RO water with a little nutrients.
Day 26 - Watered with 1 cup RO and some nutrients. She's been well behaved so far.
Day 28 - Her roots were starting to show so into a new 3 gallon pot she went. I watered with RO and some nutrients. 3 hours later she is looking pleased. 😁
Day 31 - A little upward and outward growth. There seems to be some yellowish areas showing under the flash but not obvious with out the flash. This little lady had an odd yellow area on one leaf as a seedling. This seems similar. She's strange! For now I am giving her straight RO water and I will see what happens over the next few days.
Day 34 - Good upward growth and filling out some. Still showing odd yellowing but seems to be healthy otherwise. Watered with 2 cups RO and some nutes.
Day 35 - First try at main-lining. It was very hard to rip this lady apart but hopefully it will bring a better yield in the end.
Day 41 - She seems to be doing okay after the trauma of main-ling. Time to remove the leftover fan leaves.
Day 44 - She is slowly recovering from the mainlining. In a day or two I hop to top her again, just waiting for the new bud sites to bulk up a bit.
Day 46 - Got impatient and topped her again.
Day 49 - She's slowly recovering from the second topping.
The original 2 fan leaves were removed and LST was done. Slow growth after the second topping. Hopefully soon I can top them for the third and final time. Just watering with RO; no nutrients but the leaves still seem pretty dark. Not sure if they are just getting nitrogen from the soil or if they are just dark naturally.
Day 60 - I did some LST adjustment and gave her 2 cups RO water with some nutrients. Not sure if I will top her again or just use what we have so far. My impatience is showing...
Day 65 - No real upward growth yet but she is filling out. Once she gets some height I will flip her into flower.
Day 66 - Before and after the transplant into a 5 gallon pot. Watered with 4 cups RO and nutes. I hope the extra space will help her grow big.
Day 68 - She seems to be recovering well from the transplant into the bigger pot. Some upward and outward growth.
Day 85 - First week of flower. I watered her with 4 cups of RO and no nutes.
Day 89 - I did some light defoliation to help with light penetration. Some slow upward growth this week. I watered her with 4 cups of RO and some nutrients.
Day 91- She hasn't grown taller in the last 2 days, since defoliation, but has filled out and isn't looking stressed at all. Week one of flowering is done.
Day 94 - Flower seems to be beginning. No upward growth for this girl ,this week, but she has quite a few potential bud sites so hopefully she will have some decent buds in the end. Just RO water to drink this week. The leaves are so dark on all of my plants; same as my last grow. Not sure if it's the added nutrients or my soil mix. 😟
Day 97- The growing medium was registering at 7.0 so I lowered the pH of the RO water a bit in hopes it would improve things. She was a little dry so she got 8 cups of water this time.
Day 100- This little lady continues with some upward growth and has some little flowers growing. She seems to be handling the lower pH water I gave her a few days ago. She is definitely the prettiest of the girls I am currently growing.
Day 101 - Watered with 4 cups pH adjusted RO and nutrients.
Day 106 - Watered with 4 cups RO and some nutrients.
Day 115 - She seems to be doing well after defoliation. Her flowers are bulking up and the leaves are filling in again.
Day 117 - I can't understand why all (including the last grow) of my plants are dark green from very early on in their growth. The leaves are also slightly curled downwards around the edges. I don't feed much for nutrients, nowhere near the recommended doses. Today I have flushed them all in hopes of getting rid of any excess nitrogen. I'm wondering if I may have been too heavy-handed when mixing my soil and amendments. I thought that using organic amendments would be safer. Next time I think I will start with a basic, tried and true soil like Fox Farm and forget mixing my own until I figure this out. Newbie mistake! 😤
Day 123 - The ladies are still recovering from the flush but seem to be filling out well. This is my favourite plant, based on looks. I defoliated her well a while ago but she still could use more light to the lower buds. I don't dare do any more defoliation this late in flower.
Day 127 - She has recovered well from the flush and the buds are starting to fill out. I gave her a litre of RO and some nutrients to help her fill out some more. The pistols are starting to turn orange and the trichomes are multiplying. 😁
Day 131- She got watered with 4 cups of RO. Still waiting for the pistols to all turn orange/brown.
Day 133- Watered with 4 cups of RO and some nutrients. A little more bulking up of the buds has happened and the pistols are turning. I'd like to see more trichomes.
Day 136 - Still waiting for the rest of the pistols to turn dark yet I see some amber trichomes! This seems odd to me. I don't want to harvest too soon or wait too long. She got watered with 4 cups of RO and some nutes.
Day 138 - I decided to remove some leaves to try and get some light to the bottom branches. I hope it helps.
Day 140 - She's recovering nicely. I hope the trimming helps to bulk her up. Just watering her with RO until the harvest.
Day 144 - She has been flushed and is waiting for more amber trichomes.
Day 149 - Still waiting. I hope to have some decent pics soon.
Day 150 - I tried to get some decent photos of the trichomes.
Day 154 - I flushed the ladies again as they were not using up the nutrient in their leaves or showing any colour change.
Day 159 - They are starting to show some colour change but not much yet on this one.
Day 161 - Time to put the ladies into the dark for a few days.
Day 164 - Harvest day. She had a decent amount of wet bud. I hope to end up with a nice dry yield.
@TrueNorth, I think I'll certainly give that a try. I was also wondering if my soil mix might be part of the problem too, since the leaves have been dark since very early on in the grow. She seems to be growing okay anyway.
@TrueNorth, Thank you! I think the nutrients are working well, especially since I'm a newbie and don't know what I'm doing. They're easy to use and so far I don't see any deficiencies. My plants are always a little darker than other people's though. Hopefully not excess nitrogen.
Looking nice 👍 are you going to do a staggered harvest and take the tops off then let the bottom thicken up or chop the lot at same time? I chopped the log on my first harvest but I'm going to stagger the next one.. Verry nice structured plant
@THCandME,pretty much all you do is cut off your crownies (main colas) and let the rest of the plant mature I like to take all the main heads and spread the lower limbs apart asuch as they can handle and after a week all the fluff turns into rocks 👍👌😉
@Coconuts, I didn't know that you could stagger the harvest! It sure would help get some light down to the lower buds. Unfortunately my tent is very full and it's hard to get good light penetration. I'm going to do some research and possibly try to stagger the harvest. Thanks for the suggestion!
