ChillSpace Paradise Pine combines Paradise Punch × Whitethorn Rose, two cultivars with remarkable history.
This cross feels especially meaningful because Paradise Punch was originally created by Johnny Casali’s mother, Marlene Farrell, alongside a family friend. Her selections helped shape genetics still appreciated today, and I’m grateful to have the chance to grow them. After hearing Johnny share his story and learning more about Huckleberry Hill Farms, I knew I had to find a pack—and I managed to purchase the last one available!
I started four regular Paradise Pine seeds on October 25th using my usual coffee-filter method. All four cracked within about 40 hours for a perfect 4/4 start. They’re now planted in quarter-gallon fabric pots filled with Purple Cow IndiCanja and growing in my propagation tent.
I’m excited to see how these individuals develop and whether one might be worth carrying into my own breeding projects. Huge respect to Johnny, Marlene, and everyone who helped preserve these special genetics.
