Plant has been recovering from transplant last week (from massive 7-gallon to reasonable 5-gallon pot),
I think some roots were damaged/lost. She seems to be slowly coming back to good health! Yellow spots on leaves starting to go away.
Update: Grew about 1 inch in last 2 days, plant starting to look healthier!
Plant has been growing well in the last week or so. Some of the lower leaves still have some yellow spots from over watering and root damage in transplanting from earlier weeks. I think these issues have set her back about a week or so in growth but she is responding well. Seems to be growing into a healthy plant nonetheless.
Day 26: Decided to top the plant as an experiment, hopefully will develop two (or more) main stems/colas.
Have been doing some light LST/bending.
Plant seems to still be growing well after topping on Day 26. No signs yet of pre-flowering stage.
Day 35: Plant growing well, 3 inches in 4 days. Two main stems seem to be growing after topping.
Switched light schedule from 24 hours to 18 hours starting in week 6. New growth tips since topping are starting to grow well and small white tips are starting to show (beginning of flowering stage).
Last day of week 6: Lots of white tips are showing and signs of budding sites starting to form.
Entering 2nd week of flowering, very happy with how things are going! Plant has grown 3 inches in height over last 5 days, and flowers are growing bigger. Can count 10+ budding sites on upper and lower levels of plant. Topping has seemed to worked well so far!
This plant is doing great! She has grown about 3 inches in height in the last 6 days. Budding sites are starting to grow bigger and more are starting to appear, more than 15 clearly visible now. So far so good! I am very happy with how this is going!
60 days in from sprouting in soil. This plant is doing very well, topping her has seemed to worked really well.
This plant is still growing in height, about 3 inches in the last week but most of the changes are in the flowering. New Budding sites have started appearing, I can count over 30 now. Pre-existing budding sites have continued to grow larger and healthier. Everything going well so far!
Coming to the end of the 5th week of flowering. Plant seems to have stopped growing in height at 2 feet tall. More buds are forming and existing buds are starting to grow bigger. Frosty tips on most of the leaves and the buds are smelling nice! So far so good!
Getting close to harvest, probably about 7-10 days away. Buds are starting to grow fuller and denser. About 30-40% of the white hairs have turned brown/orange and have curled.
Everything going well! Just to re-cap this grow: I have grown this plant in the corner of my living room with good ventilation under a Philips Grow light bulb, 24-hours of light during the first few weeks but switched to 18 for the rest of the way. I used a 5-gallon smart pot with Fox Farms Happy Frog Soil, no added nutrients at all just filtered water the whole way. I topped this plant in week 4, causing two main stems to grow as well as 2 lower branches to flower a decent amount as well. She struggled with a bit of over-watering and some transplant damage early on which i think delayed flowering by a few weeks, but she recovered well. This is my first grow ever, and I am very happy with how this has gone! Harvest just around the corner, happy growing everyone!!!
Haven't been able to update for a couple weeks. Today is the first day of week 15. Buds have continued to grow bigger and much more frost is covering them now!
I am planning to finally harvest sometime within the next week! Plant looks and smells great! Can't wait to finally harvest! Great seeds from Grower's Choice!
Just to recap the grow: This was my first grow ever! I grew this plant in the corner of my living room, which gets good ventilation, using a 5-gallon smart pot and FoxFarms Happy Frog soil and NO nutrients, just filtered water the whole way. I used a Phillips Growlight full-spectrum bulb (not sure the exact wattage, but turned out to be plenty of light to grow a single plant), running 24-hours of light for the first month or so then switched to 18 hours the rest of the way. Overall the grow went surprisingly well, a couple over-watering issues early on slowed down the progress and I think switching the light from 24 straight to 18 shocked the lady, (in hindsight I should have gradually decreased the amount of light) but smooth sailing afterwards!
Harvested this lady on the last day of week 15 (105 days from sprouting in soil until harvest, 108 days from seed to harvest). I could have harvested a couple weeks earlier but waited for approx. 80-90% of the white hairs to turn brown (higher levels of CBN vs THC, personal preference). I will be adding the weight of the yield soon, and will update the taste and feel once it has been smoked! Happy growing everybody!
