Ok everything is coming along swimmingly except for the fact that that plant #3 had to meet the executioners block. Because he was dried out at a young stage he never bounced back properly but that's ok because I now have a holding tank for when I'm working on the other plants thus plant #6 is now plant #3. With the inclusion of my new humidifier I must say my operation is looking quite sophistimakated. Trying to get RH around 60% and I keep looking into my co2 generation options.
Note to self a good rule to remember for light to plant distance is that if you put your hand near the highest point of your plants for 30 seconds and it's starts to burn, then your lights too close
I understand that by placing less clay balls my roots will reach the reservoir quicker, but then wouldn't sunlight seep through the remaining exposed net pot?
Your roots will grow a few inches a day in this stage as long as they are not too wet in the rockwool. I wouldn't worry about a couple inches of pellets. It will only make a day or 2 difference. I would stack the pellets higher and top water if you need to for a day or so longer.
@DILLIGAF,
Hey, man wicked and thanks for the link yeah I'll stay tuned into your growth as well. Dam I didn't know you could only select one comment as a response to your questions, but yours helped the most with the little ring idea. I was recommended to cover with smaller clay balls as you can see I've done with a few of my plants but your ideas much better as dosn't stress the sapling as much.
I noticed you're from down under, I happen to be just across the ditch riding that land of the long white cloud. And our grow seems similar"ish" so I'ma def keep your grow monitored.
P.S
What's your opinion on hydro grown autos? I stopped with autos in general in favour of photoperiod for the increased yield, but I understand the shorter life cycles make up for that.
So that being said do autos thrive in hydro?
