wiseguy84 Although I'm a relatively inexperienced grower I have high aspirations. My goal is to grow a fully organic bud using a True Living Organic (TLO) soil mix recipe. My mentality is aiming for a craft cannabis - high in quality and taste, something that I would share with my closest of close. The soil was mixed May 11 using the TLO 2.2 recipe from the book "True Living Organics: The Ultimate Guide to Growing All Natural Marijuana indoors" by: The Rev. Off to a rough start - my first batch of seedlings planted May 11 (White Widow and Diesel) from Grower's Choice died from dampening off within the first two weeks. Determined, I tried a second batch immediately - planted May 25th, 2019 this time using my hydrometer to help monitor the moisture in my dome. I started with a 19w LED grow light (not show) resting right on top of the dome until the seedlings sprouted, then moved the dome to my grow tent. I've chosen seeds from Grower's Choice Seeds - Feminized Diesel, and Feminized Tangerine Dream (Auto). Seeds planted into expanded coco coir pods (soaked in RO water). After the first week, they measure rough 2-3 cm in height. CURRENT TENT SPECS: - 4' x 3' tent w/ 1'x3' divided veg area (velcro divider) - Lighting: Horticulutural Lighting Group HLG-300v2 Quantum Board - Still awaiting on my intake / exhaust fan to be delivered

wiseguy84 Seedling have been transplanted to 1 quart pots using Fox Farm Happy Frog potting soil. Watered until run off every other day with RO water. No other nutrients added. Hoping to get 3 plants in this 3x3 grow space, I started a CBD Blueberry (Grower's Choice Seeds) in the dome, approximately 2 weeks after my other 2 plants. TENT SPECS (changes): - added an oscillating 10" fan - installed my AC Infinity 6" fans (not seen). One intake, one exhaust. I like this setup as it comes with a digital control panel that both fans can be controlled which also includes a sensor for measuring temperature and humidity. - As I'm still growing veggies from seed in my veg side of the tent I've opted to install the intake fan on that side and use passive intake (see silver 3" airduct tube in photo) by using the exhaust fan on my "flower" side of the tent to pull in fresh air from the veg side. - Pairing these fans together has provided great negative pressure, sucking in the sides of my tent, even with the addition of an 8" vivosun carbon filter added. (yes, I purchased a carbon filter that was too big for my fan.Didn't want to wait on the return and exchange for a smaller size on Amazon so I had to purchased a 8" to 6" reducer from home depot).

wiseguy84 10 days from when my CBD Blueberry sprouted, I'm ready to move these babies to their flowering containers. Using 3gal air pots with 12" saucers to catch run off. Trying to stick to some kind of established guideline, I've "layered' the soil in my pots according to the TLO guide seen in the photos. My TLO Supernatural Soil mix that I prepped over a month ago has now been "cooked" and is used as my main soil mix. It is dark, just the right amount of moisture and smells earthy - I hope my plants will love it! After layering with blood meal (down to earth) and general all-purpose fertilizer (green gaia) i dig out roughly a fist-sized hole. I'm unable to find Great White mycorrhizae from my local supplier so opt to use Mykos which they have in stock. This is sprinkled in the hole and on the root ball before transplanting, then thoroughly watered with RO water. I top layer with some blood meal (high in nitrogen) but accidentally get it on some of the Tangerine Dream bottom leaves. This causes some nitrogen burn on the leaves themselves. Heat in the tent is increasingly becoming an issue. I currently have no method to cool the space and temperatures are rising into the mid to high 30s. GROW TENT update: Now that my veggies are out of my veg side of the tent I've decided to change my tent layout a bit. My carbon filter (not pictured) was positioned horizontally in the flower side of the tent - this restricted how high I could elevate my light. I have removed the reflective velcro divider between the veg side and flower side of the tent, now making the space one large 4'x3' space. I've repositioned my carbon filter to a vertical orientation in the corner of the tent the open up the vertical grow space. The carbon filter, reducer and exhaust fan are all situated inside the tent. With the divider now down I can now center my light in the tent to provide optimal coverage to all my plants.

wiseguy84 My week of vacation - and also when I noticed I had a fungal gnat infestation - great. After some reading, I realize my high temps and accidental overwatering has made the perfect environment for these babies - and they are everywhere! I'm also suspect of the mulch I've recently tried so I decide to first remove it. I've dusted diatomaceous earth to the surface of the soil of all 3 plants to attack the gnat larvae as they emerge from the soil. I've temporarily covered the soil with crumpled up paper. My Tangerine Dream Auto is starting to show pistils, so I wanted to stress the plant early so it can focus later on flowering. I pinched the base of the stalk, bent it over and wired it to the pot, and then spread and wired down the branchs for maximum coverage. I also topped my CBD Blueberry. Now hoping two main colas will form. I'm leaving the Diesel plant alone for the time being.

wiseguy84 More of the same this week - continuing with RO water through my blumat emitters (I've noticed the pots drying out more than I would like, so I've had to adjust the emitters a little bit), and daily misting to keep the Relative Humidity (RH) in the 50-60% range. Tangerine Dream's little flowers are starting to develop more pistils. New growth on the CBD Blueberry is booming after topping I did a few weeks back. Think I've finally dialed in my environment - high / lo temperature range is being minimized and RH is holding nicely. As this grow is located in my uninsulated garage, I've been battling exterior temps - which seem to have calm down a bit as well.
