So, I started these about 6 weeks ago. Found these two seeds in an ounce of dispensary bud. Really nice fat buds, so I know what these genetics can do so I have something to compare these against. One of the seeds was extremely deformed. It looked like a star fruit. I really didn’t think it would sprout but it spouted and is growing with the same structure and vigor as her sister though I don’t know which is which anymore. They both showed sex at about 4 weeks. One was in a two gallon pot so I transplanted into the 15 gallon. I put them outside in the sun during the day, and under a small 30w led at night shared with other clones to keep them in veg. I’ll put them in the greenhouse in about two weeks to flower. Here in Hawaii, photo plants can flower year round as the day length only varies from 10-14 hours of sunlight. I have a Sativa finishing first week of August. Anyway, I’m leaving one in a 5 gallon pot and I’ll call her Sally, and her sister in the 15 gallon will be Rhonda. Hoping for some fat girls.

Sally and Rhonda have had an uneventful week. Rainy weather has meant they haven’t gotten as much light as they’d like, but don’t seem to have minded. Rhonda is adjusted to her new pot and didn’t miss a beat. To make it easy for me to count the weeks, these girls are going out to flower in the greenhouse on August 1st. While I’ve done a few micro grows, I still have no idea how much I can expect off of plants this size but I’m hoping for a qp off each, but I’d be satisfied with a qp off of both. I’m also curious as to whether the bigger pot will have any effect on yield. I doubt it will as they won’t be monstrous plants.

Sally and Rhonda went out in the greenhouse on 8/1. It’s been storming for the past few days and a lot of rain. My other girl is starting to mold from the humidity. They have begun to stretch and seem to love their new home but would like some sunshine.

This week saw the passing of two tropical storms which brought loads of rain and humidity. My autoflower is slowly succumbing to mold, but Sally and Rhonda are doing fine. They have both have gotten a lot bigger this past week, but no bud formation yet. If the weather cooperates it looks like they should yield nicely. Hoping for the best!

The weather improved a lot this week and the girls have been soaking in the sun. Humidity and mold are always a problem here so I defoliated and lollipopped them for better airflow. Starting week 3 they are starting to crown. Buds should start forming any day now. Sally has to be watered every other day and I’m starting to worry she may need a bigger pot.

Last week my father-in-law passed away and I had to dip out of town for a week with no notice. I knew Sally would never make it, so stuck the whole pot in a bucket and filled it with water until the medium was about 50% submerged. The idea was to make it like an over filled hempy leaving enough water for a week. What I didn’t know is that my dad was going to come by and water the plants. So, sally essentially drowned. I’ve taken her out of the water and let her drain in hopes she’ll recover, but it’s not looking good. I did the same with Rhonda but there was more exposed medium, and there was no way for it to be over filled, so it’s doing just fine. What a difference a week makes.

After a week, Sally does not appear to be getting better. Though not completely dead yet, I do believe it’s terminal. Dried her out for a few days, then gave veg nutes with peroxide in a last ditch effort to save her. I won’t chop her until I’m sure she’s dead, but she dead. Rhonda is looking good, I think. The only issue with her is some yellowing in the fan leaves. I know leave naturally turn yellow, but it seems to be effecting the edges and tips leaving the center green. Anyone know if this is normal yellowing or caused by some deficiency? She may have been over watered for a week while I was out of town. Other than that I can only guess it’s not enough nutrients. I’ll feed her with the next watering so I’ll see if that helps.

Well, it turned out the yellowing last week was the beginning of some brutal nute burn. Don’t quite understand it though. First feeding in 2 weeks at 3/4 strength. Flushed with 12 gallons of plain water after first signs of burn. She dead. I’m 0-2 on this grow. A one week absence was my downfall on this one.
