I have 3 photo period Harvest festival ( Outdoor Skunk x Amstel Gold ) plants to take the place of 3 autos that are near to finish.
I'm using an organic eco thrive supersoil and will be also givng plants an organic diluted feed collected from my womeries.
Not sure how much of a veg stage these plants will get before flowering kicks in as they are an earlier outdoor variety so may trigger in a few weeks. Not going to to much in the way of training other then maybe defoliate a little later on and train any branches outwards.
Hoping by picking an outdoor variety i'll have better chance of avoiding possible mould later in season.
Rapidly growing now, and these are looking like they may produce well for a late crop. The plants have been put in the same space as 3 already harvested autoflowers for a second season crop.
No signs of flower yet but these should be a tad early in triggering and seeing as they are now past the 7th node should be starting to think about flower sometime soon.
Surprised at the speed of these plants
These plants are looking very happy and doing well in the eco thrive super soil from indoor organics.
I have also been adding a diluted worm tea obtained from my garden womeries and have also given a very light dusting on soil surface of bat guano
no signs of flowering yet but pre-flowers are showing and it was a good idea to get these into the space 3 autos were previously occupying as they look like they will be nice sized plants by finish.
Nice plants these have turned into. pre flowers and signs she's stretching but wouldn't say any in flower yet.
Been loving a recent spell of hot weather
Plants are rapidly pre-flowering so but not quite in full flower yet. Nice plants, the super soil with ecothrive has done well but i can see they are starting to become N deficient so will add some Liquid seaweed.
Ive already added some guano for flower and have been giving a dilute wormery run off tea regularly too but one plant is clearly quite hungry still for nitrogen.
Added some organic chicken manure to the plants a day or so ago and hopefully this will bring back their green colour as they are looking to be nitrogen deficient.
Plants are looking healthy and are now starting to bud up nicely. Nice strong plants and look like they will do well considering they were only sown from seed in July
plants are starting to bulk up and push out the trichomes. Roughly about half way through flowering now with very little smell at the moment, a faint skunkyness if plants are disturbed or moved around but its not overly strong yet.
Removed some of the lower leaves and had a bit of a tidy up at places i think could possibly cause mould issues. Lots of wet weather recently so trying to keep things as clean in there as possible, hopefully be some sunnier days towards later half of month.
Nice and frosty and very tight packed bud for sungrown, getting some real nice autumn colours too appearing, yellows and purples which should only continue towards finish and become more vivid.
Really wet weather here and more is forecast too.
So far the plants have had no bud rot in flowers but I have seen signs of it on the stems and have dabbed it with some iso alcohol wipes which seems to be keeping it from spreading further up the plant to buds.
These plants ideally need at least another week although a look under the microscope is showing cloudy trichs. if the wet weather and mould look to be a losing battle they will come down this week but ideally be at least next week.
