Lionsshare This is my second run at Seedsman’s Alaskan Purple auto the first run turned out great with a 54 gr yield for one plant bud was extremely frosty it packs a nice punch with great citrusy flavour was my first attempt at growing autos and I was fairly pleased with the results.
This time around I started the seeds under a cfl light while waiting for space and a new light schedule in the tent and so far things seem to be starting out a touch slower. They are misted twice a day with ph 6.3 water and fed the same every other day. I’m not to worried about the slower start knowing this plant really explodes with growth around the 4-5 week period. Sticking with the light LST method and just going to trim away the odd leaves blocking light as I did last time seemed to work out just fine.

Lionsshare Day 18: things still moving slowly fed only water and misted twice a day. They were moved to the tent under the led lights a couple days ago and repotted because they got completely knocked over and I acquired a few bugs made the mistake of putting the last harvested plant outside a few days to start re-vegging and didn’t notice it had thrips when I brought it back inside so I have a few pests in the tent that slightly effected the leaves on these young Alaskan purple plants.
One plant is slightly bigger than the other in leaf size probably due to damage from being knocked over and the bugs but still growing so I’m not to worried it’s still very early. Another few days they will get their first light nutrient feeding.

Lionsshare Day 21: still going slow last grow was at this point nearly a week earlier. They still getting misted everyday and I moved them about 6inches closer to the light. One plant is nice thicker leaves and the other still has thinner a little more damaged leaves but is still growing consistently and keeping up with size just a lot thinner leaves than the other.
Plants were given first nutrient feeding

Lionsshare Day 28 so I figured out wasn’t thrips I acquired it was fungal gnats they got pretty bad at one point but I got it under control now still a few stragglers but almost gone. All I did was place a few sticky pads in the tent raised the fan to blow towards the soil lightly I also added a couple potato pieces on the top of the soil cut in half and they were left for 2 days, I also kept the soil very dry over the week so plants haven’t gotten any liquid at all in almost 5 days but the only issue I had wasn’t under watering it was slight wind burn on the poor plant that was already beat up lol poor girl struggling with life but still growing steady slow and steady. When the potatoes were removed after about 48 hours you could see they were covered in larvae so they were tossed into a bag and out the house immediately lol.
Plant 1 still looking pretty ruff and a lot smaller than #2 her leaf structure is a lot different thinner than plant #2. Partly due to stress I am sure but she just seems much different lower growth seems faster than the other plant but with the big stretch coming in the next week or 2 I am not worried I think she will recover just fine.
Watering for the week was once beginning of the week just ph 6.3 water then they were dry for 5-6 days just got a low amount of 6.3 water today so it dries fast to keep bugs away then she will get another nutrient feeding in a few days

Lionsshare W5D2: day 38 so plant 1 is having serious issues still I had to remove a few leaves as they were damaged pretty bad from I think the last feeding and those stupid gnats that came back despite my soil being extremely dry.
Plant 2 had a few leaves removed as they were damaged from the last feeding but this plant is growing consistently I’ve noticed some leaves first leaves on new branches have abnormal growth twisted and misshaped. The plants overall health is much better.
They both got about 500 ml of nutrients water today most water they have got so far hopefully they handle it well this time around and if plant 1 does not or at least start to show some consistent growth I am going to remove and chop it down it just seems to be taking up space being half the size of plant 2.
I have decided this is my last grow with soil to many complications and I believe my bug issue started with the soil right off the hop. Already picked up some canna coco and perlite with cloth pots. From what I’ve observed on other people’s grows on this site seems to be the way to go for faster healthier growth.

Lionsshare Day 44: plant 1 still looking shabby and short but has started recovering and is growing more consistently still very small at about 8 inches and her partner is at 13 inches. She took a little better to the nutrients last week.
Plant 2 is growing strong very similar to last grow with a couple more branches. However last grow I had small buds forming already 3 days from now so she is still a bit behind.
Both plants got a heavy spraying of safers insecticidal soap and a good rinse off 20 mins later still have a few fungal gnats lingering and to prevent mites whole room got a scrub down.
Nutrient feeding per gallon:
Ghe bloom 6ml
Ghe micro 3ml
Ghe CaMg+ 3ml
Seems they took well to last feeding instead of nutrients and 2 plain water they got nutrients and one plain watering just before they start flowering hopefully later this week.

Lionsshare Day 51: so over past few days they both finally transitioned to flowering still about a week behind last grow. Last grow had no issues like pots falling over or fungal gnats so I can’t complain.
Plant 1 had a few leaves removed they were dying off she stayed freakishly short and the secondary branches are starting to push up a fair bit flowering progress the same with plant 2.
Plant 2 has stretched a ton over past week or 2 more than doubled in height as plant 1 she had a few lower leaves removed that were dying off. This plant branches out well and had zero training compared to last grow with minor training she grew a couple extra branches.
Watering for the week:
Day 51.. ph 6.3 water 700ml
Next watering will be nutrients..
@Tomfromdelmonte, nice I will check it out I can’t wait to get going with the coco. It’s great bud has a nice grape like scent and flavour with a hint of Kush
@420GlazeIt, yea these plants just absolutely explode with growth very dramatically you can see visible change within hours lol this time I’m sticking with 18 hours of light all they way to the end too see the difference of switching to 12/12 like I was forced to last grow due to another plant in the tent.
