This is my first time growing I’m not a pro by any means but everything this week is going well, my seeds were planted on July 22, and they look healthy after the first week, they are only getting RO water till I transplant them into bigger pots
Week two is looking good. I transplanted the girls because their roots were peeking out of the bottom of my cups, I put them in 5gal fabric pots and used fox farm ocean forest soil amended with Gaia green all purpose organic fertilizer, hopefully that will feed my plants for a few weeks till flower, then I’ll top dress the plants with bloom boost
The start of week three looks good so far, both plants are growing well but MJ is looking super green which looks like nitrogen toxicity, I’m sure as she gets bigger she’ll grow out of the problem, let me know if you have any other ideas.
Happy growing
I’m at the end of week three and the girls are doing great, I started my LST training so I’ll see how that pays off next week
One of my plants is a much darker green then the other, is this nitrogen toxicity?, it’s still growing but it’s not filling out quite the same as my other plant
Hey the little plant is a bit heavy on nitrogen but not at a toxicity level yet. The leaf tips will start to brown and burn if she gets much more. The other one is a faster grower so processing a little more hence the lighter color. I noticed that you added nutrients to the soil. That fox farm soil is a high quality soil that is complete. It has everything the plant need for nutrients to last around 3 or 4 weeks. Adding nutrients is what caused this. With that being said she will be hitting her growth spurt any day now and start sucking up that nitrogen. You dont have anything to worry about just give plain ph adjusted water until you see signs of them being hungry. With the nutrients you added you might make it to flower before you need nutrients and when that time comes throw her some bloom food. And more is not always better with nutrients. If she gets overloaded then she wont be able to absorb any nutrients so slow and steady wins the race. Good luck with them
Week 4 of veg I started lst training for the first time and I’m surprised how fast the plants respond, I can see new side branch growth that is starting to fill out the pots, I’ll have to keep up with them as best I can, so far the only thing I do is water my plants and fill my humidifier, I’m liking the Gaia green fertilizer both girls are really healthy and are stretching everyday,
So it looks like Mary Jane has popped some pistils but so far nothing on Gwen, they are packing on size but with the early flower on mj I think she’ll have a lower yield, but hey quality over quantity
I’m at the end of week 4 and both plants look amazing and are showing pistils, so next week I’m calling the start of flower👌
Week 5 and both plants have begun to flower, Mary was first and Gwen started a day ago, the only thing I’ve been doing is my lst training which is creating a bunch of tops on both plants, they get RO water every four or five days
Day 33 I decided to pick up ingredients for some tea for my plants, I want these girls to get fat, the bigger the better 😍
Day 36- the girls look healthy, they have lots of tops and bud sites so the lst has paid off, I have a compost tea brewing so the girls will get a good boost in a few days, I wish the girls were a bit taller but I think my light was to close at the beginning so it’s something to remember
Week 7 is off to a good start both girls have stretched nicely and are now packing on bud sites, last week I top dressed with Gaia green bloom boost
End of week seven and the girls are really coming along, Mary has lots of buds forming and Gwen got some height on her.
If you like what you see leave a comment or a like, I’d love to see what you grow
Week 8- both plants are starting to get frosty and packing on some buds, I saw a video on how to make co2 so I’m going to try that out before this week is up
End of week week 8 and both plants look great I’m happy with how they are packing on bud size
I was late posting this week but things are on track, Mary is going to be an early finish she has amber on most of her buds so she gets the lights out treatment soon, because of her early finish I couldn’t get a proper flush so hopefully because it was an organic grow it won’t effect her to much, next time I’ll check tricomes sooner, Gwen is a bit behind not showing much amber
They seem to be happy!
Interested to see how they do with the soil hype.
I'm growing WW by the same breeder. Just 8 day behind.
Cant wait to see how things turn out! Happy growing.
I’m at the end of week two and they are happy and healthy as far as I can tell, Gwen is really growing and is starting to leave her sister behind, but Mary just looks so picture perfect
@Wicked_Stix, thank you for your advice and speedy answer, I’ve watched videos and researched for months before I decided to grow, Next time I’ll use only fox farm then I’ll add my other amendments after a few weeks, thanks again
@Recgrows, I posted some info for you. The fact that you noticed a problem early and reached out for advice tells me that you have this grow headed in the perfect direction. I love white widow. Excited to see how these autos turn out!
