Titoff Germination done with the Fleximix Root It Cloning Kit, 24 cells under a greenhouse. Once the seeds were planted in this kit, I placed this little greenhouse inside a grow tent. After a few days, I transferred the young seedlings into their final pots. 12 young seedlings in the first grow tent in 18l pots specially for autoflowering, and the other 12 in 15l smart pots in a second grow room.

Titoff Tent A: 3 Gelato seeds, 6 Gorilla Glue seeds from FastBuds, and 3 Frosty Gelato seeds from Growers Choice. Tent B: 3 Girl Scout Cookies seeds, 2 Gelato seeds, 3 Gorilla Glue seeds from FastBuds, and 3 Trippy Gorilla seeds from BigHead. Lec 315w lamp kit in both 120X120 grows. First little rookie mistake, fan poorly positioned, young seedling laid down, placing stakes for support and correcting fan height. Placement of a dehumidifier in each tent to bring humidity back to a proper level. Observations made and to follow: I have a pot with a Gorilla seed that gives me 2 plants!! see photo.... 300 ml of nutrient solution to each plant every 2/3 days while monitoring the plants with a Rapitest pot tester (pH, Lux, and humidity).

Titoff Week 2 was tough, tent B suffered from a watering mistake and the smart pots hold much more water than I thought, so I had to wait for my substrate to return to a proper moisture level before I could give them water again. As a result, I'm probably a week behind compared to tent A. Tent A, on the other hand, is doing wonderfully, it's growing, it's growing...

Titoff Beginning of week 4, the girls in tent A are now 54 cm tall as of today 12/08, and tent B is still recovering from my watering mistake and is currently 32 cm tall. I think I'm about a week behind between the two. What a wonder to see them grow and thrive day by day; I'm in love, and their scents are already making me dream. Titoff Here we are at the beginning of week 5, my tent B really isn't having any luck, the fan fell on one of my girls and cut her in half, well, 1 out of 12, more scared than harmed. Two grow tents and quite a few differences, oscillating cyclone clip fan for one and Monkey fan clip for the other, let's just say that the mounting system for the Monkey fan is much better designed than the other but that's just my opinion. My tent A is doing wonderfully despite a slight burn on the tips of the leaves due to a slight excess of nutrients. So for now, I'm only giving clear water without nutrients for 2 waterings before resuming the nutrients. Both tents are now in flowering, even though in each tent, I still have some girls in the vegetative phase but overall, let's say we are in flowering. I thought tent B would be a week behind the other but no, I think I just have smaller girls to see later. Today, August 20th, the girls in tent A measure between 90 cm and 1.10 m and tomorrow I'll be reorganizing the space and trying a slight defoliation so that the taller girls don't come too close to the lighting and to let in more light to maximize the final yield, the girls in tent B measure 70 cm and form a nice green carpet. Also installed today a second VDL dehumidifier in each tent to better control humidity during the flowering phase and bring it down to 65%.

Titoff Week 6, tent A is developing well and is on track, however the growth of these varieties surprised me, they were presented as genetics measuring up to a meter but they decided otherwise... not having been trained, it is now reaching the ceiling and some are now touching the lights and unfortunately it's too late to train them, so I did my best to tie them up so that the tips of some girls don't suffer too much from burns. Tent B has caught up well and is doing wonderfully.

Titoff Week without hiccups, except that we monitor each plant individually to properly control the watering, different varieties at different stages require it.

Titoff Beginning of week 8 filled with surprises, the grow tent that I thought was lagging behind the second tent has progressed at lightning speed. Sure, the plants in this one are smaller, but the canopy is more uniform, and it's now difficult to differentiate who belongs to whom since every plant has branches filled with buds, a real treat for the eyes and nose. These lovely ladies are a dream... My second tent, which I thought was perfect, turned out to be a bit of a mess because I couldn't control their heights, and I ended up with the tips touching the lamp. After some training and directing the branches by tying them occasionally with yarn, I was able to regain some control and ensure that the light was spreading well throughout the growing space, which has turned into a real forest. And the surprise two weeks before the end, just when I was about to start my flushing, I noticed that some of the lower leaves had suspicious spots. After some investigation and research online, I found out I had thrips! Being in a very advanced flowering stage, my treatment options against these pests are almost non-existent; chemical treatments are forbidden, so my only solution left is hydrogen peroxide, which is very debated online with varying opinions... black soap, which many sites present recipes for that can be very useful, blue sticky traps designed for thrips, and the last solution is to eliminate them manually by hand... After reading and searching the net, I turned to GrowDiaries and went to the site chat where I met some awesome people who came to my aid, and I thank them greatly. For my part, facing this pest, I followed their advice: black soap plus manual elimination and daily monitoring. If I can name them, thanks to laBOSSANOVA, bird_of_prey, and weedawan for their advice and kindness; my first request for help went wonderfully. This site is just great.

Titoff Despite the mistakes made, the grow is progressing. However, I thought about starting my two weeks of flushing, but since this is my first grow, I preferred to observe the progress of the trichomes using a microscope and macro lens attached to my smartphone. It was easier to handle, and I noticed that the majority were translucent, so I decided to do an extra week of nutrients. What’s nice is working close to these girls; you get resin everywhere, and the smell, I can't even describe it...

Titoff Hey Growdiaries team, sorry for the delay in adding week 10, but here it is! It's rinse week, just water for the little greedy ones so they'll be tasty at the tasting. The further we go, the whiter and stickier they get; it's impossible to pass my hand to remove a leaf or two without getting sticky everywhere, it's magical! Some branches bend or lean so much because they're so heavy, I love it! Can't wait to taste all of this, but there's still drying and curing left, it's a long process, but just like with a woman, before consuming, a little patience is needed...

Titoff Since the end of week 10, I had started my flushing after observing the trichomes using different devices, pocket microscope sold in Growshops, microscope that attaches to your smartphone, or even the Apexel lens 2 in 1 macro lenses.... The macro lenses allowed me to see quite easily that most of them were milky, so I thought it was time for me to start my flushing period. I had read on various sites that you should do 2 weeks of flushing to eliminate all traces of nutrients and have tasty weed. So I thought the timing was good and that my additional 2 weeks would give me the 15 to 20% amber trichomes, but I’m reaching the end of the first week of flushing and there’s very little amber. So this weekend I gave a bit of fertilizer again, because the leaves are in full senescence and the maturation of the trichomes still needs a bit more time. A bit lost, to be honest, today’s check shows a rather beneficial stress for the girls who will be flushed again. To help myself as best as possible, I ordered the Higrade cannabis analyzer that I will receive on Monday, so I’ll give you more details later, but this device is supposed to give us valuable data when cut, THC levels, deficiencies, diseases, in short, a gadget that promises great feats to see. However, after several searches, I learned that you only start flushing when the trichomes turn amber and after 10 days of flushing, and then you cut....

Titoff This week big change, one of my tents is finally ready to be cut, after of course having had at least 10 days of flushing, so it underwent a little perm, followed by a summer cut. A titanic job, started at 2 PM and finished at 6 AM! I think for the next session I’ll invest in a trimmer to make the work easier. However, being a bit overwhelmed by this work, I got a little mixed up and now I find myself with the girls cut but it’s impossible to say who is who! What a bummer, a little lack of organization, I admit, I’ll do better next time. I’m still wondering how to best estimate the wet weight because on the scale, I currently have 2kg, so I’ll give you the final dry weight later which will correspond more to the famous grams per watt that everyone is looking for. Titoff A little summary of my first grow, having cultivated different strains and losing a bit of organization during the manicure, my harvest ended up mixed in the trays, but hey, the most important thing is still the final result that I'm sharing with you. 6 strains with 4 seeds of each, for a total of 24 plants. Spread across 2 tents of 1.20m, powered by a 315-watt LEC light with super lumens function (350 watts). I obtained a total of about 900 grams from these 2 tents, give or take a few grams. That's 450 grams for 315 watts. It's just math, but even with mistakes, I managed to get 1.4 grams per watt. For the next grow, I'll try to be more organized and methodical and especially not to make the same mistakes again. Happy growing everyone and good vibes!
