Mazar (first time topping)

undoubtedlyant As the title says, this is my first time topping an auto. I've done a bit of lst in the past with quite good results but with a few problems getting an even canopy, so I wanted to try a plant without the apical dominance. It actually responded better than I thought it would, had some explosive growth after the cut and her first nute charge (also my first time using hesi)

undoubtedlyant Starting week 4 and I'm quite happy with the results so far. After the cut it had some explosive growth and the number of colas increased a lot. Managing the canopy has been so much easier. I also did a slight defolation to increase air circulation and to expose more surface to light. I'm starting to see a light burn on the new growth, maybe too much nutes or just normal colors. I'll update next week. Hope to get a few insights or comments!

undoubtedlyant Started week 5 on monday, it had some seriously explosive growth in a few days during last week. After a slight defolation I had to rearrange all the branches because of the growth, maximizing light penetration has become difficult on some colas that aren't sufficiently long to bend properly.

undoubtedlyant Middle of week 6 now and I'm curious. Before, I had a Zkittlez Auto from Fast Buds and at this date it was flowering already, maybe too soon even. This AutoMazar isn't showing clear signs of flowering or preflowering that I can see yet, but I'm definitely not complaining, it's still growing strong and I have to rearrange the LST more or less daily. I think I did overfertilized a bit, but I'm also thinking the decoloration in some leaves may be product of the light, it happened to me before.

undoubtedlyant Starting week 7 and I'm finally getting some pistils 💮. Not complaining at all, this is my biggest auto yet and I'm hopeful I'll get a decent yield out of this one. The 20lt fabric pot is completely filled, it may not have so much height be it as a lot of small heads now.

undoubtedlyant Well, it's confirmed, it isn't an auto, it's a photoperiod Mazar. I really should've checked it but I asked for an autoflower seed and never checked again. I realized that the sticker was different from the one of my friends has, this one wasn't purple. Anyway, I'm kinda glad it's a photoperiod, I wanted to try one for a while and I can't blame the seller for an honest mistake. After confirming, I changed the photoperiod to 12/12, built a net to use as scrog and up the nutrientes a bit. This definitely explains why it took the topping and defolation so well and why it never stopped growing. Now, to wait.

undoubtedlyant Starting week 9 and I'm quite happy with the results and the way the scrog is going. I have to admit I do love autos but the space you have to veg the plant and to fix your mistakes it's been really useful to me. Same thing happening with maximizing my grow space, the longer veg period allowed me to fill out the gaps and it's still growing strong. This is my first photoperiod so I don't know how long will it be to see the flowers forming. Will continue to update soon.

undoubtedlyant Sorry for the lack of updates. Finally I can say she's into flower. It's been a though ride controlling the branches and trying to get a more even canopy. I also screwed up some branches by defoliating too early but anyway, next time I will be able to do it with so many improvements I'm looking forward to my next grow.

undoubtedlyant Starting week 12 and she's gaining weight and I think the strech is almost over. I'm happy overall with the results so far but I'll manage the canopy, side branches and leaves way better next time. Looking forward to the harvest.

undoubtedlyant Pistils are going amber bit by bit. I hope I can harvest soon because maybe I'll have to be off for a while. I'm more or less happy with the results. It's just sucks that maybe I'll have to harvest before time is due. Anyway, not too long to harvest now.

undoubtedlyant Started to get frosty leaves and fatter colas. Hopefully I will be able to harvest in a month or less. The smell is getting noticeably stronger as well.
