She is doing great! Looks like she is starting to respond to her 12/12 light schedule🌺 She grew from 7 inches to 10 inches in a day or two! Working on my first experience with a SCROG so I’m learning and adapting😂 Also I think she is already starting to show signs of bud formation? I can’t wait to see her continue to grow🌞🌱
So here she is! She has grown so much the past few days, both length and width wise🌱 She was about 8 inches tall the first day of her 12-12 light cycle change. She is now about 11! Her canopy and bud sites have continued to grow like crazy as well!!🌞
This plant has been just amazing. This plant has not given me one problem whatsoever the whole time it’s been growing🌱. My Gold Leaf plant which is right next to this one started a Nitrogen deficiency that seemed to come out of nowhere. I checked this plant to see how she was doing and she only had very minimal signs of the same deficiency. I gave Both plants a nice mixture of nutrients that contained a higher amount of vegetative macro nutrients. I gave both plants 0.5 gallons of fresh nutrients solution in the hopes that this would adjust any unbalanced pH in the root zone and also clear of any deficiencies that have been going on. Both plants seemed to love all the extra nitrogen. They both shot up in growth continuing their stretch in this early stage of flowering. Other than that both plants now look perfectly healthy and happy😁
Here she is!!! She has so many bud sites I can’t wait to see what she is going to yield!😍 Overall, I have been letting both plants do their thing. I do some minor LST every few days but other than that, I have the light hitting most bud sites directly! One issue, which is 110% my fault, is both plants have developed a slight Nitrogen Toxicity. I should have done a little more research before trying to correct the Nitrogen deficiency they both had a few weeks ago! Adding too much Nitrogen during flower is a no no, which I now know! I did correct the deficiency and the toxicity seems to be minor with just clawing leaf tips and almost no discoloration to be found. Other than that both plants are producing some beautiful buds! Also, I have my first visual confirmation that my plant is producing cannabinoids! (This is obviously supposed to happen, but I’m just so excited about it😂) I have been watering once every two days and then a feeding. As you can see I’m doing some basic nutrients that I feel are worth using! But, of course, everyone has differing opinions on that which is great!
Raise your hand if you almost killed your plant overnight, due to a rookie mistake🙋♂️🏼 I cannot tell you how terrified I was when I opened my tent to see this extreme leaf dropping. I was in shock for about a minute before I realized I needed to act fast. The first thing that came to mind was doing a big flush using 5 mL per gallon of FloraKleen. I went into shock a second time after testing the first round of soil runoff😩 pH was perfect, which I was thankful for, but kind of knew that wasn’t the problem because I have always payed super close attention to that. But, once I placed my TDS meter in the runoff, the problem was clear. PPM was around 2,800 and EC was over 3,000🙅♂️🏼 So, how did I let this happen? Clearly the salt build up in the root zone was probably 90% of the problem. While doing months and months of research before starting to grow, I just skimmed by on research involving testing your run off, BIG MISTAKE, one I WONT be making again. I will most likely be switching to distilled water from now on. But let’s get back to my solution for this. I knew it clearly was not a deficiency, temperature problem or nutrient burn. I came to the conclusion the root zone EC had to be way off, causing the plant to lack the ability to absorb water properly, becoming dehydrated. I ran about 3 or 4 gallons of clean water with FloraKleen through her and continued testing after every gallon. I finally got her room zone PPM down to about 400 and her EC below 900. She seemed to start recovering almost immediately! A few hours later I could tell she was stressed, but doing better. This morning she looks almost back to normal😁🌱 I’m hoping this does not effect my yield, but if it does, it’s a learning experience. It reminds me that we can do hours and hours and hours of research, but we will never be above Mother Nature🌞
(The pictures shown are the only ones I was able to grab quickly while I was panicking. As you can see my grow room looked like an operating room by the time I was done😂)
