Small Grow

12 Aug # Doing a small Live soil grow for me to take to my apartment. will be using distilled water no pH correction just let it grow one or 2 tops auto flower. throw in some LST make a bonsai plant. This is inspired by the Silky challenge just a larger pot and going to grow it in a different style shape. Going to throw my small LED light at it because the days are getting shorter. we shall see Leave a comment of what Shapes would be fun to see I am trying my hand at complex bondage. I have managed to help do spiral, mainlines, so I do not think it will be too hard it is only LST. 14 Aug # the little girl has shown the tap root about 1 cm in length so transplanted to the forever home right away to start growing. 16 Aug # Her head has come out 48 hours after tap root, these plants always amaze me. Going to wait until serrated leaves pop their head then I will remove the bottle. 18 Aug # Tried to keep her outside but the heat is too much so moved indoors

19 Aug # Well second week is coming along have her in front of a window then into the grow tent later in the day to maximize light schedule. Upon researching found that a 24 hour light can in fact harm any plant as it gets over worked. Plants need sleepy time. The evidence is there between my grows and my moms where we had a 24 hour light on one and the rest were 18-20 hours. the 24 hour light one grew strong but always showing signs of stress, whether that be heat, water, nutrients. I have switch the plant to a 18/6 it is a auto flower so it should be ok. Since that switch side colas grew and are almost rivaling the main cola. That could be because it is in stretch phase however the amount of growth was more then expected. I will only be giving 1/2 nutrients throughout the grow as the soil is pro mix live soil. 20 Aug # gave her some water did not flood, It was voodoo juice with water premix. 22 Aug # growing strong not much to see yet

31 Aug # She is growing slower then her sister, but healthy only has 1 clawed leaf from being hit from the fan. I Water her every 3 days and do 2x Plain water then 1x nutrient water. I have to rotate the plants a lot to try to make them grow evenly 2 Sept # end of the week and have not watered her for 3 days and soil is still moist

6 Sept # well Compared to her sister she is not showing much, she has not been trained in any way. This little girl is short and runty compared to my solo cup DWC. This grow is 1 week older then the DWC grow and the difference is astronomical (see pics). I am going to keep growing her to see what happens. 9 Sept # end of week

well this has sold me on hydroponics her sister is gonna be twice the amount as her. Soil may be a better medium however hydroponics eliminates the middle man She will be harvested in a week with her sister.. if i get 1 gram off her i will be shocked Might herme her out so i can experiment a little

It was a fun experiment to go along with my kratky grow to see the differences the mediums produce. unfortunate you cannot say which is better due to the auto flower genetics but you do see bigger plants and yields with hydroponics in an indoor setting.
