August 16: For this new cycle I will try to photograph the plants once a day. The plants will spend the first two weeks under the table illuminated by a new LED setup consisting of 5 T8 tubes. I have already purchased two Apollo 10 LED lamps that will replace my 600w HPS for the plants placed above the table so I will have three cultivation areas illuminated only by LED lamps. The new lamps will be delivered to me next week so these new borns will then be moved over the table and will complete the flowering on the new lamps.
August 25: Second week, second pair of leaves.
August 30: Hi guys, as you can see from the pictures, unfortunately, all my plants became ill with Peronospora. It is usually a virus that affects plants grown outside and in most cases is due to excessive humidity. I think it happened because the heat of the HPS lamp helped to keep the humidity lower and now that I have replaced it with LED lamps I have to keep it more under control. The humidity had risen to 84% but now I managed to bring it back to around 50%. I have already treated the Pronospora when I cultivated outdoor so I still had Canna Cure, I have already treated all the plants and in the next few days you will see how the small yellow spots will disappear. As I wrote, Canna Cure is an effective product for this kind of problems and in the next few days I should see an improvement. This product is also completely natural and does not spoil the taste of the variety even if sprayed directly on the buds. I also added active carbon absorbing mats under all the pots and even inside the grow room. Designed for training large dogs they are perfect for absorbing excess moisture and eliminating odors, if you want to buy them you can also find them on Amazon.
September 3: After a couple of treatments with Canna Cure the third pair of leaves is popping up and appear healthy. Downy mildew virus is disappearing even if it has slowed down the growth of the little ones...
September 8: The five seedlings of this last cycle have entered the fourth week, they are slowly recovering from Peronospora and compared to the sisters previously cultivated they are late in the growth of a couple of weeks. The same varieties cultivated previously in the third week were already in bloom, but this shows that all five FastBuds varieties are very strong and resistant and that even if just sprouted and therefore almost defenseless, they can recover from a powerful virus such as Peronospora. 💪
September 13: Almost all the plants are healing, but the small Six Shooter is the plant that most of all suffered the effects of the Peronospora virus. Pigmentation is almost completely compromised, I don't know if it will survive. Meanwhile after collecting the LSD-25 and the Zkittlez I moved the five little ones into the now empty grow room and now the peaks are under the 280W Apollo 8 and receive a stronger light.
September 18: Almost all the diseased plants are healing and are regaining green color on the leaves, but the Lemon AK, the Six Shooter and the Gorilla are visibly underdeveloped and with a distance between internodes equal to zero. Zkittlez, on the other hand, looks great and seems to be completely healed and a couple of weeks late at most. The LSD-25 suffered from the disease, but it is getting longer and the leaves are back to green so it bodes well. 😉
September 29: To date, all the plants have recovered from Peronospora and started their flowering phase. The LSD-25 and the Zkittlez are the most resistant varieties and as you can see from the images they are growing healthy and beautiful as if nothing had happened. The Lemon AK, the Six Shooter and the Gorilla Glue have survived, have begun to branch and flourish, but have remained considerably smaller than usual.
October 6: The Zkittlez placed at the center of the new cycle is becoming a beautiful flowering bush 😋 The three plants in the grow room are now cured of the blight and are forming a compact bush. After the devastating disease I will not practice defoliation or the FIM in these plants. In the grow room I also moved the new sick Gorilla Glue.
Hi brothers and sisters, sorry for the delay in posting new updates, but I started a new job that keeps me very busy. Fortunately all the diseased plants have passed the Peronospora virus and are at the eighth week. The LSD-25 is the plant that has suffered the least and is completing its flowering phase, missing a couple of extra weeks. After this test I can say that the LSD-25, besides being one of the most beautiful varieties to grow, together with Zkittlez is a very resistant strain. In fact, Zkittlez is also completing flowering and I think it will be ready in about three weeks. The Lemon AK, the Six Shooter and the Gorilla Glue are three bushes and have begun the flowering phase, but on these three varieties the Peronospora virus has left more marks and I believe that will bring a delay between 3 and 5 weeks. Since I am writing this October 17th it is time to prepare the plant cycle that will be harvested at Christmas. A couple of days ago I therefore put in the soil the cycle that I will call "Christmas" with all the 10 varieties available to me and have already all germinated 😋 I read in the Dutch Passion online catalog that the Ultimate Auto has a maturation time of 15 weeks so it will be the first variety I will harvest in 2020. All plants have a new arrangement since yesterday on the table.
Despite having suffered from Peronospora in the first weeks of life this Zkittlez plant has become a beautiful buds bush. In height it has grown about 55 cm and has developed many branches covered with buds that have yet to mature and then swell. I believe there are two or three weeks left to harvest. This variety is the most resistant of the FastBuds varieties I cultivate and unfortunately subjected to the difficult test of the Peronospora virus. The LSD-25 has shown itself to be equally resistant, losing as the Zkittlez 2 or 3 weeks, while the other three varieties Six Sooter, Lemon AK and Gorilla Glue have proven to be less resistant and even if they can heal with the proper care they will lengthen your time of cultivation of at least 4/5 weeks...
Hello growers, this Zkittlez plant has overtaken the mildew virus, bringing a delay of a couple of weeks, remaining only lower and more bushy than the previously cultivated plants and this was an advantage for me. In a week I will harvest 😋
Hi friends, the harvest time has finally arrived for this Zkittlez plant. After passing the Peronospora virus he developed many branches covered with buds. I have collected the previous plants between the eighth and the ninth week so this plant has brought an overall delay of about two weeks, but having completed its life cycle in 11 weeks, however, is to be considered one of the fastest varieties of all. Next week I will complete the report with the latest data. 😉
@WiddieThePooh, Hi friend, no problem in treating autoflowering plants as if they were photoperiodic when you have stable varieties like those of FastBuds. Even in the early cycles I thought they were more delicate, but with the passage of time I have seen that it is not so.
