First week went well. Has pretty much been a week of germination & patience waiting for her to pop up.
Had a few cold days after I put her in the soil (8th Aug), so progress was slow to start, but it's warming up and she's popped up (Day 1 15 Aug) and she's stretching those 1st leaves out.
Heard she has the potential to get quite big, so am trying with a 20l bag pot and is my first time growing in bags, so interested to see how it goes.
Not watering much due to the cold temps, just a little spray every 3 to 4 days.
Added Mycoroot, so hopefully that helps her get all the food she needs.
Another cold week and not the best light.
The larger pot seems to help keep the substrate temperature more stable and she's one of the happier ones in this batch.
Also stopped feeding (would make a light mix for my other girls and water it down more for her, but stopped & just giving collected rain water) and doing a foliar feed with a weak Fish Mix once a week.
The Freedom Farms soil is great and the surface dries nice & fast, every few days I push my finger a cm or 2 down the side to check moisture.
It dries well and water them every 2 to 3 days and have upped it to average abt 100ml a day, but changes slightly with the weather. Think her roots are enjoying it and she's made good progress this week despite the cold.
A cold start to the week, but started to warm up nicely.
Been sun hunting & moving her around the garden to get as much direct sun as possible.
Still slow progress, but I can see she's enjoying the warmer days and the next set of leaves is looking a bit more lush.
Only giving her collected rain water every 2 or 3 days and a light fish mix foliar feed once a week.
Weather looks good for the next week, so hopefully some good progress.
A nice warm start to the week and some nice progress.
Did some LST mid week to try expose the lower branches a bit more. She's still small, but all my other plants I've done LST to have loved it. Can already see she's responding to it well.
Upped the watering a little, but still only watering with collected rain water every 2 to 3 days depending on the weather and skipped the foliar feed as it was getting cold toward the end of their week when I was planning to do it and didn't want to let them sit with moisture on the leaves.
First signs of flowering at the end of the week, hope it warms up again & she stretches a lot during flower, otherwise I'm going to have a very small lollipop haha
A bit of a chilly start to the week, but opened up for most of it & the night temps have been a bit warmer most nights.
This girl is starting to grow nicely and after the 1st LST tie down to the side she has grown nicely (6cm in a week of not the greatest weather is not too bad). I'll add another one in the next day or 2, she's growing nicely and the other ones have been loving the LST, so will add one more before she kicks into flowering solidly.
A few pre flowers popping up, but she's still growing well, but sure she'll kick into flowering properly this week.
Only fed rain water and a weak Bio-Grow mix this week to help her stretch a bit before flower. Skipped the foliar feed due to a few cold days when I wanted to do it.
A bit of an up and down week, had one night of around 8/9C and today we got up to 44.6C in my greenhouse, so instead of sun hunting with my girls I was shade hunting mid day, trying to find the coolest spot for them, but still in good light.
Been watering a little more due to the heat and they're getting a bit bigger, so are more thirsty.
Also gave them their first proper feed today.
Still in preflower, so stretching nicely and sure by the end of next week they'll kick into flowering solidly.
Held off on the Bloom to try get them to stretch a bit more before I switch.
Not much more to report this week, besides that they are doing well and enjoying the warmer weather.
A super hot start to the week, but mellowed out and had one or 2 overcast days, but the sun still made it through and has been nice and mild the last few days.
Been watering and feeding lots more & they seem to be loving it! Getting a bit bigger, so she's much more thirsty, especially on the hot days.
Started giving full dose of Bloom and added the Fire Juice from FF, will slowly wind down with the Grow, Fish Mix and MicroLife as they flower more.
Did a bit of defoliation this week, very light and only took off the bigger fan leaves that were covering the bud sites and she's already filled in again nicely.
Not flowering too seriously yet, but she's getting there quickly.
The bag pots also seem to work nicely, my other 3 that are the same age and in regular pots are much smaller than this one & the Bubblegum+ Pro that I also have in one of these 20l bags.
A nice mild week with only one cold day and night yesterday.
Good progress and flowering a bit more seriously now.
Switching over to mainly Bloom and Fire Juice, but still giving a bit of Grow, Fish Mix and Micro Life. From next week I'll only give flower food.
Looks like we're in for another nice mild, sunny week, so hope they stretch a tiny bit more and the buds fill out well.
A nice warm, sunny week.
Stretching has slowed down and she's starting to fill out and get frosty.
Not too much smell yet, but it's coming.
Switched over to flower food only now to help her get thicc.
Watering/feeding every 2nd day.
A few thrips still around & hunt them a couple times a day, is too late to spray for them, so just going to have to go the manual route.
Not huge, but definitely doing better than most of the others in this batch.
Warm start to the week, but the 2nd half was a bit cooler and some overcast days.
Still feeding her as she's a bit behind the others and is still filling out. Packing on the frost and the smell is subtle, but very green still.
The 20l bag pot and proper soil definitely helped her and she's quite a bit bigger than her sisters in the old soil and plastic pots.
Trichomes are clear as a bell, so has a few weeks still, maybe 3 or 4?
Looks like we're in for a cold rainy week, so she'll probably stay in the greenhouse 99% of the time this coming week.
Played with focus stacking, so most of the trichomes should be sharp and have the most fun zooming into the full res and getting lost.
Quite a bad week weather wise, but a few warm days to pick things up.
Lot's of rain and thick cloud, so not much light coming through.
Filling out nicely and not far from the finish line.
Flushing and only giving collected rain water from here on out.
Such a crazy structure on this one. Minimal leaves, just stalks and buds, will be a dream to trim.
Smell is developing nicely, but still not strong and in your face, much more mild, but think she'll be good.
A nice warm, mainly sunny week again. One or 2 cooler days, but good weather overall.
Flushing with collected rainwater and been watering a lot on the warmer days and have been working, so give big doses every 2 or 3 days.
She's fattening up nicely and the frost is plentiful! Smell is also getting stronger, is smooth wit a sweet soapy hint coming through.
Not long left for her, maybe a week or so.
A nice warm week, the last week for her.
Cut her down today.
She grew well and even though it was too early in the season I still got a nice little bit off her.
While growing she didn't have too much smell, but as I cut some leaves off it was really sweet with a little sour hint.
She'll dry for 9 or 10 days and then go into jars for at least a month, preferably two.
Harvest update in 2 weeks
Very easy girl to grow and nice and frosty. Not a bad yield for being very early in season, the 10g I got was more than enough to try her out and see how she was. No crazy smells coming off her during the grow. Smoke is a subtle one with soft earthy and woody notes, not my favorite. High is nice and relaxing, not knock out couch lock, still able to function easily, so is great for my late afternoon smokes and editing images. I'm a huge fan of strong flavors and this one is lacking a bit in that department. Been curing her for over 6 months and still soft. Not bad, but not something I'd grow again.
