Still waiting on germination. I purchased a five pack of seeds from ILGM last spring, although they all germinated it took almost 10 days. I live in a very hot and dry part of the southwest so temp and humidity are a daily challenge! Those first three plant unfortunately died when the house a/c went down for a few days. the 105 degree temps and 5% humidity done did them in! Needles to say I was heartbroken. That was my first attempt at growing and looked to be turning out well. So here I am, I finally plucked up the courage to give it another go. I know this isn't really week one of growing as nothing is growing yet. Like before my seeds are germinating very slowly. I soaked them for 24 hours and they split right open. I left them in for another 24 (the previous round of seeds soaked the whole time until they were ready to plant, around 10 days). After the second 24 hours of soaking there was no visible change since the splitting of the case. I decided to try the paper towel method and see if that spurs the tap roots to grow a little quicker. Its been about 24 hours since the transfer (sitting in the dark/temp avg 83 f) one of the seeds now has a visible tap and no change from the other. If anyone has some advice to coax the taps out faster...Please advise! I am also up in the air about trying some nutrients made specifically for coco coir. Advanced Nutrients 8560-14AB pH Perfect Sensi Bloom Coco Part A+B, 1 Liter, Brown/A Any thoughts or advice are very much appreciated! As well as anyone in the US ordering from Suzy Seeds. was looking at them for my next round. I will probably stick with ILGM as their seeds showed up to my door as promised within 4 days of my order and have heard only amazing things about their customer service. Just feeding my curiosity!

Well, both ladies popped. Both came out of the ground with the seeds still attached. I kept them warm and moist for a few days. Nothing happened. I ended splitting the shells myself....very gently. I left them alone for a few more days and now they are both looking good! Off to the races. I decided to pick up the General Hydroponics Flora series performance pack and a CO2 bucket from the local hydro store. Everything seems to be looking strong so far! I ended up just planting my seeds in the coco after 48hrs of them sitting in the paper towels. Both had very short taproots and I believe that I did not plant them deep enough to knock the seed off wile growing out of the medium. Either way life is good now!

I’m on my second grow with the same strain. I get 73% success rate when germinating so far. Don’t sweat it. I would stick to a good soil first time perhaps? It makes things easier. The soil is more forgiving. I’m using Biobizz for my second grow. I’m getting great results second time through with them. I’m feeding to schedule and doing LST, topping and a bit of supercropping with defoliation. A lot of advice is to leave autos alone. But I did that first grow and want to try something different. Just watch the overwatering if you are putting them straight into big pots. Good luck. I’ll watch your grow.
