They've sprouted and are under careful consideration :). I plan to do a complete, 100% organic grow using just spring water and natural soil - no artificial fertilizers or chemicals. I've seen a lot of grows on here using boosters or buds, fertilizers during veg, ph this, calcium that, phosphorus here and there. I plan to stick to keeping it organic - it's all about timing!
buds are taking nice form and smelling fruity and sweet like caramel. I've been pruning her in small forms as too much will promote her back into veg..after this week, no more snipping and it's smooth sailing
This has been quite the week...She's been eating water like it's going out of style - 50L's. Might I remind everyone, this is a completely 100% organic grow with zero chemicals added. The buds have exploded and I don't know if it;s just my eyes, but I look at them in the morning, bigger than yesterday...I look at em before bed, bigger than the morning look. I would say another 3 weeks or so and she should be good :)
Buds are getting quite fat by the day...smells like juicy fruit citrus mixed with caramel rum...not your typical "danky skunk" weed. Buds are sticky, very dense trichrome's. Harvest could be at the end of week 8, maybe week 9
Buds are fattening by the day, grow tent has a nice smell of juicy fruit mixed with caramel..definitely interesting. Leaves are starting to turn yellow as the plants are sucking everything out of the soil. Trichromes are looking clustered and almost there, getting some ambers which should give a nice high...harvest next week?..I think so! :)
The cream caramels are just about done, trichomes are maturing nicely. The Acapulco gold buds are getting fat and dense by the day, trichromes just about there.....beautiful smell in the tent..juicy fruit combined with caramel rum smell...harvest soon!
Overall, after drying, the buds are very dense and coated in crystal..handling a couple will have you sticking to everything lol. They smell somewhat spicy with a bit of pine and a caramel taste to them. When you burp the curing jars, you get an immediate burst of sweet caramel goodness. Off of 2 plants, I got a decent 4 ozs (112gs) of bone dry sticky christmas tree's. Overall, I would give it a 7/10 on my "smoking scale"
Update: Sept 24th - I definitely underestimated the potency and would put the "smoking scale" at about a 9/10 now. It has cured perfectly with quite the taste, smell and look. A lot of little crystals, dense and sticky with a frosty haze appearance. I will be growing this strain again for sure!
Overall, very happy with the strain - would grow it again considering I went fully 100% organic and kept out all chemicals, I got a healthy 4 ozs dry sticky icky (112 grams)
