Cold temps meant germination was a bit slow, but once she popped up the weather has been warming up & she's making good slow progress.
Using a light BioGrow & FishMix with every 2nd water and a tiny bit of microlife once a week.
Is still early for our outdoor season, but wanted to see how the autos would do in colder conditions and will do a lot more after this first batch and they should shoot up much faster, however I'm not looking for crazy quantity at the moment, just experimenting & testing strains, looking for my favorites.
A nice promising start to the week with some warm days, but another cold front came through & temperatures dropped again.
Luckily it's not solid grey days and they still get some sun popping out now & again, but has been another cold, slow week for my girls.
Next week looks more promising & it's officially Spring, so they should be more happy.
Feeding every 2nd water (collected rain water) and watering them every 3 days. They're not quite so thirsty in the cold, so don't want to risk over watering.
A cold start to the week, but started to warm up nicely.
Been sun hunting & moving her around the garden to get as much direct sun as possible.
Still slow progress, but I can see she's enjoying the warmer days and the next set of leaves is looking a bit more lush.
Only feeding her every 2 or 3 days and a light fish mix foliar feed once a week.
Weather looks good for the next week, so hopefully some good progress.
A nice warm start to the week and some nice progress.
Did some LST mid week to try expose the lower branches a bit more. She's still small, but all my other plants I've done LST to have loved it.
Upped the watering a little, but still only watering with collected rain water every 2 to 3 days depending on the weather and skipped the foliar feed as it was getting cold toward the end of their week when I was planning to do it and didn't want to let them sit with moisture on the leaves.
First signs of flowering at the end of the week, hope it warms up again & she stretches a lot during flower, otherwise I'm going to have a very small lollipop haha
A bit of a chilly start to the week, but opened up for most of it & the night temps have been a bit warmer most nights.
This girl is starting to grow nicely and after the 1st LST tie down to the side she grew nicely, so pulled her down around the inside of the pot and she has turned her head up and kept going, completely unphased.
A few pre flowers popping up, but she's still growing, but sure she'll kick into flowering properly this week.
Only fed rain water and some Bio-Grow this week. Skipped the foliar feed due to a few cold days when I wanted to do it.
A bit of an up and down week, had one night of around 8/9C and today we got up to 44.6C in my greenhouse, so instead of sun hunting with my girls I was shade hunting mid day, trying to find the coolest spot for them, but still in good light.
Been watering a little more due to the heat and she's stretching a bit, but going into flower.
Switching over to Bio-Bloom and gave some Bio-Grow to hopefully encourage her to stretch a bit more.
A super hot start to the week, but mellowed out and had one or 2 overcast days, but the sun still made it through and has been nice and mild the last few days.
Been watering and feeding lots more & they seem to be loving it! Getting a bit bigger, so she's much more thirsty, especially on the hot days.
Started giving full dose of Bloom and added the Fire Juice from FF, will slowly wind down with the Grow, Fish Mix and MicroLife as they flower more.
Did a bit of defoliation this week, very light and only took off the bigger fan leaves that were covering the bud sites and she's already filled in again nicely.
Not flowering too seriously yet, but she's getting there quickly.
Also she's started to smell a bit & has got me super excited already!
Just like sticking your nose in a freshly opened bag of Skittles, I didn't quite believe it was this close to real Skittles, but it's amazingly sweet and spot on!
Too excited to try this one!
A nice mild week with only one cold day and night yesterday.
Good progress and flowering a bit more seriously now and the smells are getting too good!
Trichomes were shining so nicely in the sun today while I was shooting.
Switching over to mainly Bloom and Fire Juice, but still giving a bit of Grow, Fish Mix and Micro Life. From next week I'll only give flower food.
Looks like we're in for another nice mild, sunny week, so hope they stretch a tiny bit more and the buds fill out well.
A nice warm, sunny week.
She's doing well & frosting up like mad.
The smell is also changing slightly as it gets more intense, but still got that super sweet candy to her.
Switched over to flower food. Buds are developing nicely, just want them to fill out more.
Can't wait to try this one!
Definitely need to grow another one in peak season and try get her big.
Warm start to the week, but the 2nd half was a bit cooler and some overcast days.
Still feeding her as she's a bit behind the others and hope she fills out more. Looking super frosty and smelling so good!
Also put her in shit soil, so that's not helping & with the cold start, it wasn't the best. Definitely need to do another one, she smells like more!
Trichomes are clear as a bell, so has a few weeks still, maybe 3 or 4?
Looks like we're in for a cold rainy week, so she'll probably stay in the greenhouse 99% of the time this coming week.
Played with focus stacking, so most of the trichomes should be sharp and have the most fun zooming into the full res and getting lost.
Quite a bad week weather wise, but a few warm days to pick things up.
Lot's of rain and thick cloud, so not much light coming through.
Filling out nicely and not far from the finish line.
Flushing and only giving collected rain water from here on out.
This girl is also not huge, but will get a little stash off her.
She is soooo frosty and had the biggest smile when I zoomed in on the full res close up shots... the sweet smell is getting even more intense and too keen to try her.
Not long left!
A nice warm, mainly sunny week again. One or 2 cooler days, but good weather overall.
Flushing with collected rainwater and been watering a lot on the warmer days and have been working, so give big doses every 2 or 3 days.
She is sooooo frosty, I'm in love! When I zoom into the full res shots there are some sections I can't even see the plant, it's just trichome city!
The smell is also out of this world and can't wait to try her. Think she'll definitely be a new favorite for me.
That sweet candy smell is so strong, at first it was like opening a fresh bag of skittles, now it's like they've been chewed or crushed to get as much scent out of them as possible. haha
Not long left for her, a few amber trichomes, so think around another week and she's ready.
Nice relaxing more indica leaning high. More of an evening smoke, but not a solid couchlock feeling.
Very easy to grow, such strong sweet smells and covered in trichomes. Being indica I left her a little longer to enhance the relaxing side.
Extremely easy strain to grow. Even with some mistakes and far from ideal weather she grew well. Very nice smoke and sweet terps are delicious. I have grown 2 more since and am enjoying her. I need to improve my grow to get more out of her, but other than that I'm very happy.
@outdoor_grow_420, you're going into what I just came out of haha it's terrible watching them grow so slowly, but some of mine are doing much better now and is warming up fast, so hope the new ones do well. I will be finishing when you start again, but good luck for your last batch!
@Shinsimilla, yes I'm growing the last autos of this year. My sun hours are decreasing. Now I have around 12/11 hours of sun. The next ones only will grow in March. 🙌
Hey not trying to criticize your plants are looking very good but have you considered increasing your amount of light per day seeing how these are autoflowers? Just wondering why you are going only 12 hours a day?
@Shinsimilla, oh haha so they're outside full time then. I thought u were just taking them out for "fresh air" haha, curious to see what they amount too tho.
@Northnut, Thanks, if you look right at the top of the diary info you will see I'm growing outdoors. I wish I could ask the planet to spin a little slower tomorrow to get more light, but not sure it'll listen :P
These are a bit early in the season, but there are so many strains I want to try I don't mind if they're small, I just want to get an idea on what my favorites are so I can grow more of them in peak season.
