Got this girl in Freedom Farms soil to see the difference between her and the other BSB seeds I have in a soil mix I made last season.
Temperatures were cold during germination, but warmed up nicely for her first week.
None of my girls were too thirsty last week, but have started to up their feeding and watering and will go up to abt 300ml p/d next week.
Just been watering down the feed for my other girls for this one, no there is more than enough food in the soil, so will switch to water next week.
No crazy progress just yet, but hopefully the weather stays and she shoots up!
Another cold week and not the best light.
The larger pot (15l vs most of my other autos in 10l) seems to help keep the substrate temperature more stable and she's the happiest girl in this batch.
Also stopped feeding (would make a light mix for my other girls and water it down more for her, but stopped & just giving collected rain water) and only doing a foliar feed with a weak Fish Mix once a week.
The Freedom Farms soil is great and the surface dries nice & fast, every few days I push my finger a cm or 2 down the side to check moisture.
It dries well and water them every 2 to 3 days and have upped it to average abt 100ml a day, but changes slightly with the weather. Think her roots are enjoying it and she's made good progress this week despite the cold.
A cold start to the week, but started to warm up nicely.
Been sun hunting & moving her around the garden to get as much direct sun as possible.
Still slow progress, but I can see she's enjoying the warmer days and the next set of leaves is looking a bit more lush.
Only giving her collected rain water every 3 days and a light fish mix foliar feed once a week, but gave all my girls 150ml of an epsom salt mix (1 table spoon in 5l) today too.
Weather looks good for the next week, so hopefully some good progress next week.
A nice warm start to the week and some nice progress.
Did some LST mid week to try expose the lower branches a bit more. She's still small, but all my other plants I've done LST to have loved it.
Upped the watering a little, but still only watering with collected rain water every 2 to 3 days depending on the weather and skipped the foliar feed as it was getting cold toward the end of their week when I was planning to do it and didn't want to let them sit with moisture on the leaves.
First signs of flowering at the end of the week, hope it warms up again & she stretches a lot during flower, otherwise I'm going to have a very small lollipop haha
A bit of a chilly start to the week, but opened up for most of it & the night temps have been a bit warmer most nights.
This Sour Diesel is one of my smaller plants & has been going slowly, but now that its warming up a bit I can see she's finally pushing out some bigger leaves and getting a bit more filled out. Looks like the cold has stressed her out more than my other girls and think she's gonna stay a midget.
Only fed rain water and some Bio-Grow this week in hopes it would help her stretch. Skipped the foliar feed due to a few cold days when I wanted to do it.
She has shown a few preflowers and is a little further along than the others that are the same age, so hoping she stretches a lot, otherwise she's going to be a tiny lollipop.
A bit of an up and down week, had one night of around 8/9C and today we got up to 44.6C in my greenhouse, so instead of sun hunting with my girls I was shade hunting mid day, trying to find the coolest spot for them, but still in good light.
Been watering a little more due to the heat, but this one seems to have maxed out and is flowering solidly. A tiny bit of a stretch this week, but don't think she'll go much further.
Switching over to Bio-Bloom and gave some Bio-Grow to hopefully encourage her to stretch a bit, but not much hope for that.
She is bushing out a tiny bit, but wont get much off her.
A super hot start to the week, but mellowed out and had one or 2 overcast days, but the sun still made it through and has been nice and mild the last few days.
Been watering and feeding lots more & they seem to be loving it! Getting a bit bigger, so she's much more thirsty, especially on the hot days.
Started giving full dose of Bloom and added the Fire Juice from FF, will slowly wind down with the Grow, Fish Mix and MicroLife as they flower more.
Did a bit of defoliation this week, very light and only took off the bigger fan leaves that were covering the bud sites and she's already filled in again nicely.
She's solidly into flower & not stretching much, so will be a cute little bonsai lollipop. haha Will be enough for a tester I'm sure.
Also she's started to smell a bit & has that typical fresh green diesel smell. I like it, but think with the crazy smells the others are producing I'll rather search for different strains than grow this again. It's not bad, I've just had Sour Diesel a few times before & is good, but not my favorite.
A nice mild week with only one cold day and night yesterday.
Gained 1 cm this week haha Some trichomes are going a little cloudy, so not too long to go.
Only giving Bloom and Fire Juice, but she doesn't drink much, so only giving 600ml every 3 days.
Looks like we're in for another nice mild, sunny week.
My little lollipop is on stand still height wise, but filling out a little still.
Weather has been great & mostly warm days this week.
Will stop feeding next week and do a 2 week flush.
Not going to get much, but the smells she's producing are nothing special, but wasn't expecting that being a bulk seed.
Will be a nice little tester.
Warm start to the week, but the 2nd half was a bit cooler and some overcast days.
Stopped feeding and will flush till she's done. Not much height gain, but she's thickening up nicely still and looking great through the macro lens.
Trichomes are slowly going cloudy, so not too much longer.
Looks like we're in for a cold rainy week, so she'll probably stay in the greenhouse 99% of the time this coming week.
Quite a bad week weather wise, but a few warm days to pick things up.
Lot's of rain and thick cloud, so not much light coming through.
Filling out nicely and not far from the finish line.
Flushing and only giving collected rain water from here on out.
She's tiny, but fattening out nicely, so will get a little lollipop out of her.
A nice warm, mainly sunny week again. One or 2 cooler days, but good weather overall.
Not much to report, have not been feeding, just collected rainwater to flush and will probably give her the snip in the next few days.
I made a few mistakes and took a gamble on the weather and lost, so she was pretty tiny. Really enjoyable smoke with no negatives for me (dry eyes, mouth or munchies), so I do like it. Only got a few joints worth out of it, but am happy with that.
