Here's a fyi for some. I have kept my outdoor plants dry since August. IE in the garage whenever it rains and at nights. So yesterday I let the plants catch a few drops of rain before i got them in the garage. I run a tiny heater and a fan in the garage mostly to reduce humidity, and it does by about 15%, and raises temps about 3 celsius. The next morning you could see powdery mildew on just about every spot where a rain drop landed. I had to clip about 10 leaves per plant everywhere it started. But I looked closely at the leaves and there is a little dust buildup and they look quite dry. I got a handle on my rot issues mostly with the fan. I should have had it out earlier but I don't think it would have made a difference. Now that nights are cold the rot can't really get going but the mildew wants to go like gangbuster and only needs a little water to get started immediately so keep that in mind if you r in a climate like mine.
