M0J0R1s1ng Germinating June 3rd 2017. Got a late start and everyone says I'm too late... that sounds like a challenge to me. OK lets go. I got 3 seeds from a bag of 12 OZ's from a grower I know.. They all came from a strain of Purple #1 clones. most likely hermo's and feminized. I haven't grown outdoors since 1987 when I grew Purple Star #1 from AmDam. Got my first auto when I bought 10 seeds for 25 gilders (about $1.25 each!) they didn't even sell auto's back then it was just dumb luck but we knew it was coming. These 3 are all photo period no auto genes but should be good genetics its up to me to not limit them.

M0J0R1s1ng First week I started taking pics but the plants from day one were all very different. The Indica was always the best veger. The sativa went straight up with wide internode and leaves spacing no branching though. while the hybrid did a bit of everything you' ll see l;ater but the hybrid got burned by nutes and stunted it a little it was planted after the others and was kicking ass see what it managed to do by the end.

M0J0R1s1ng The Heat Wave continues. Transplanted the two big ones the roots were creeping out the top after I added an inch of soil packed with bone meal. Flowers have filled in nicely and starting to bust at the seams on the indica. She has more green but when her calyxes swell shell be great. The other 2 hybrid and sativa are making awsome sugar and buds are getting huge. Huge number of calyxes too just starting swelling on the bottom flowers. Loving the difference between them plants. Gotta love seed growing. Coupe, to 3 weeks I think Heat wave end today. Next pics will be after cold nights have started. I will bring into garage at night to keep a little warm.

Im starting to worry I'm not going to get finished in time. purple starting to show down the leaf stalks and blades. I think 2 have purple genes. Funny though the "Indica" doesn't have any colors showing.

M0J0R1s1ng Well the weather has been great. The Indian summer continues. We had one day with a little rain, one overcast day, and the rest pretty sunny The end of week its been warmer both nights and days. I am a lot more optimistic that I'll have enough time since Ive seen the forecast for the next 7 days. This week looks like a lot of sun and cloud mix with scattered showers highs of 21-19 lows of 12 -15 So in the garage at nights again whenever its below 15. I setup a tiny heater under the bench that can keep the plant area at 15 when its 12 out side. Ill need it when it gets below 11 that when my plants start curling up. We are 2 weeks behind the normal autumn weather according to our environment ministry so it could chill out seriously after this week, if it does it could be down to 5 at nights which is frost warning. Just to make sure I finish these plants off I went and bought a 50 watt full spectrum chip LED off ebay from china that runs directly from 110 mains power for $2 , then I ripped apart an old computer and put the LED chip under the cpu cooling tower with the same thermal paste that was on it and wired it to a plug. Then I had 4 LED bulbs from a promo, just 9 watt house bulbs, so I bought 2 splitters for 5 bucks and screwed everything to a board and wired them together with a plug. So for 7 bucks I've got about 100 LED watts to hang from the garage roof when its to rainy or just too cold. 50 watts are full spectrum and 45 watts are "warm white". We'll see if it makes any difference. Ok update. Bud rot on the middle girls terminal cola. She was super dense. I've never had a bud grow so dense, and the humidity was just too high all year. Even though she hadn't seen rain since before flowering at the beginning of August, because I put them in the garage every rain, I couldn't keep her healthy. She was from an indoor clone and was probably not used to the sunlight and just grew insanely packed. I checked her the night before and didnt see a thing. We had a nice hot day and by the afternoon a fan leaf was falling out and I knew instantly. When I pulled it it was white and brown inside and it slipped right out. So I checked all the plants really closely and its the only spot I can find. The other 2 plants are very fluffy and their colas are younger and much more sativa in them. I chopped her head off at the base of her cola anything that would be below her and left the satellite buds. See the pics. She was early to harvest only a few brown balls but not bad. Although I hate this shit like the plague at least I dont have to make a decision about when to harvest her. I got about %90 of the bud free of rot so I caught it early. Be careful everyone this is the mold and rot season. Keep a close eye. I posted picks of it just like I found it and what it looks like inside for anyone who hasn't seen this shite and doesn't know what to look for. One word of advice I did see one small circle of white mold (powdery mildew) at the very base of the cloa about .5 cm in size about a week ago. I cut the leaf off and checked with the scope and it was mold. I checked the entire plant top to bottom. That shit hides at the stalks So I was watching like a hawk. I think that little circle must have fell from the upper part and grew, but I don't think there is anything I could have done, its always off with her head if its that late in the year.

M0J0R1s1ng Ok so this week was mostly over cast raining and almost 100% humidity. One day of sun and the rot showed up. This week is supposed to be on and off rain, sun and clouds. Cold nights 5-9 and days around 15-19. Im starting the flush today. Its still warm but tonight is the big drop for the rest of the week. I'm hoping the flush in timing with the cold nights will really get the colours going. They finally stopped drinking so I'm doing the flush today and then only water, and only if they're dying from thirst, from here till the end. I have about 0-5% brown resin, The calyxes have begun their swelling especially at the bottom of the plant. The swell has started at the bottom so its getting real close. Some of the calyxes have swollen to about a centimeter! I'm really only watching for rot and browning resin. If I get to 50% brown Im chopping them down but I expect it won't be till week 20 sometime. The cola I chopped is dried and I got just over a half ounce dry. The bag appeal aint, it was definitely early very small calyxes, but I do have about 5% brown resin. Smokes great, real smooth, a little chlorophyll still needs to get out and its real creeper high, slow to come on but lasts. This plant has tiny calyxes even still its so much different than the other 2. Not one calyx is over about 2 mm even still but they buch up like grapes. I posted some pics for my reasoning behind no trimming or at least very light trimming like dead material and to promote circulation. This is mainly for outdoor plants but also applies to indoor plants where people put the light at an angle instead of directly overhead all the time(Not the best angle). The bottom branches which are usually the ones that get taken off completely are some of the best parts of your plant. First of all the are the oldest part of the plant. They are indicators for what is coming. Problems like over-under watering, bad nutes and light problems usually show up these lower extremities first and allow you to catch them before they infect the tops. Second they are old and mature first, giving you a look at what your buds on top should grow like and if they don't, again, look for problems. Third they have some of the best resin and strongest smoke that can be harvested before the plant is done on top. So take a look at some of the pics I posted today and you'll see why I love them so much and just let them grow.

M0J0R1s1ng Ok so this week was really good. The weather broke early in the week and a high pressure system moved in. The humidity dropped to 60% its been windy and sunny for the most part. I think I got a handle on the rot. No signs of anything anywhere. I think the weather will hold like this for another 4 or 5 days then its going to get fucked. The highs will be 10 with lows near freezing. I might not want to harvest when its cold so Monday night or Tuesday will be the end, The two chopped plants have matured faster like I expected. The buds on the first one I chopped are looking awesome. She has tiny calyxes and always has but she has finally started frosting up. Both of the little ones are ready any time about 30% brown resin. They have begun to outway their branches and started the flop. The big girls is just crazy. She is totally coated and frosted in resin, the cola is huge and fluffy. The trim is all chunky all the way to the bottom. She just started to ripen the resin only about 5% but she will make it by Monday because the weather is going to be great. I didnt get great pics this morning Ill post better ones later

Man still waiting for the resin to ripen up. I had a little powdery mildew show up on the very lowest bud on the first chopped plant. It was only on a few leaves so I always just pluck the blades wherever I see it. FYI for anyone who doesn't see it a lot it starts out as a white or bluish circle like when you culture in medium in a petri dish. Just cut the whole blade off or it will just grow and grow. Looks like the temperatures might hold for another week. The lowest night is going to be 5, but lots of rain starting Tuesday night so I will have to watch close now. If this shit would just get to half amber I will chop. I really want to get some powerful smoke out of this. I've sampled my first chop and its good. The bag appeal isnt great because she was the mini calyx plant and I left a fair bit of green during the trim but cut that out before you smoke and its a real creeper weed. Sneaks up on you about 10 minutes after and lays you out for a good long time and its smooth. The next chop will be ready in a day or two. It will be really cool to see the difference the extra 2 weeks does to the smoke of these 2 plants.

Here's a fyi for some. I have kept my outdoor plants dry since August. IE in the garage whenever it rains and at nights. So yesterday I let the plants catch a few drops of rain before i got them in the garage. I run a tiny heater and a fan in the garage mostly to reduce humidity, and it does by about 15%, and raises temps about 3 celsius. The next morning you could see powdery mildew on just about every spot where a rain drop landed. I had to clip about 10 leaves per plant everywhere it started. But I looked closely at the leaves and there is a little dust buildup and they look quite dry. I got a handle on my rot issues mostly with the fan. I should have had it out earlier but I don't think it would have made a difference. Now that nights are cold the rot can't really get going but the mildew wants to go like gangbuster and only needs a little water to get started immediately so keep that in mind if you r in a climate like mine. @Korfer,Thanks man, unfortunately, I lost 2 nice ones a few weeks ago. This one has loads of resin so she is more resistant to the problems the other 2 had. I'm pretty sure she'll go full term without any issues. Just hoping Jack Frost stays on vacation a little longer
