---EXPERIMENT---
I grow 2 plants in a half square meter with LED lights, 2 fans at different heights for air circulation. I give nutrients solution 2 times a week for the VEG phase for a total of 4l of water x plant. I just use tap water gathered almost 1 day before watering to remove chlorine contents.
The babies are settled as follow:
👉 4 way TOP: This is TOPped at the 4th node, first 2 nodes are removed and then LST and topped another time --> 8 colas
👉 5 way FIM: This is FIMmed at the 4th node and split in 3, first 2 nodes are removed and then LST. I TOPed at the 4th node of each one of the five branches. top colas selection will happen further --> x colas (keep on updating)
Following the standard biobizz nutrient table with the difference I won't stop adding 4 ml of Root Juice. I think I'll keep on adding it until the second flowering week. Babies are becoming accustomed with their new cuttings. I removed some leaves to allow lights on lower stems.
This week is pure shaping. I removed some of the bigger fan leaves to enrich lower parts of the plants with pure light. This also allow more airflow and prevent humidity condensation on leaves. I'm trying to do my best to predict plants moves and fill the horizontal space left. In the end of the week both plants have reached pot size (more or less).
I begin to tie some branches of the biggest one (4wayTOP) to the pot edges to keep the height of all branches as homogeneous as possible. the 5wayFIM keep on bushing on her own. I adjusted the height of 5wayFIM because it's a little bent and is smaller than the other; simply putting a plastic thicker under the pot.
This week I bought a new tool: Bluelab Grower's toolbox https://www.getbluelab.com/shop/By+Category/Pens/Bluelab+Growers+Toolbox.html
so there will be a lot of updates for the watering parts. Stay tuned for the complete watering schedules and best practices of serving nutrients solution to our babies. Cabinet is starting to smell lightly of lime and fruity stuff (uh and a little bit of cat pee!). Plants don't seem to grow in height but they're still bushing. I still have to decide if I want to start flowering next week or go for another veg one. Plants start to smell nicely
At day 40 I decided I'll switch to the flowering schedule for the next week. Everything is at net level (i still have to put it definitely on)
This week I started to bend plant under the SCRoG net. I have my new instruments to verify nutrients solutions quality. I switch my water schedule to 1,5 lt of nutrient solution/3 days
TAP water in my facility is 200 ppm (500 scale) so I added nutrient to reach 550 ppm. I'm trying to measure PHand TDS in the root zone. result is 6.9 PH and 450 ppm in the soil after 3 days.
Babies are been distributed through the net, it's possible to see almost all the main branches with their calyx pop out from the net. (see photos)
