I’m not sure, I’ve never had plants that didn’t stretch out, during this phase. These girls are just getting wider. I started noticing nitrogen shortage with yellowing of the lowest fan leaves. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the grow. Genetics genetics genetics, that is the key. Can’t buy a Kia and expect Ferrari performance. Peace out
I ramped up the ppm’s and noticed a serious growth spurt. I topped them this feeding. I think the light got a little to close. Either that our I waited to long to water. Top leafs showed signs of stress, I think. I’m going to really blast them with the nutes next week if I don’t get a mild tip burn. These girls can take it. I’ve been bending them daily.
Could you look at the last set of pics I posted, give me ur educated guess on what’s up. I think it’s either water or heat stress. It was quite dry last time I watered it.
Yes you need a good watering practice. A wet and dry cycle. Water then wait and lift grow pot when it feels light it's time to water again. Do this and she will bounce back like nothing happened
Really filling in, in the middle. Slight tip burn, the abnormal leaf growth has definitely slowed if not stopped with a longer dry cycle. My rapid led chilled tech light has arrived, will be assembling today and these girls are getting some serious light tonight. I’m sure the slow height growth is due to only using T-5’s. Look forward to my next report with the new lights. Thx everyone for the positive help and criticism.
Just watered this week, took clones and added the Rapid Led. Introduced them gently at about 65% power. They’ve acclimated just fine and are at 100% as we speak. I’ll probably be watering with nutes in a couple days, as there really drinking it now.
Apparently I missed week 4, which I didn’t. So this is actually week 6 not 7.
That being said, the girls are doing very well. LST is working to a tee. The photos for this week are taken the day of feeding and the day after. I trained them on feeding day, so you can see a huge difference in only a day. These girls need nutes on every watering cycle. I tried water only twice and both times the day after all lower leaves turned yellow quickly. The new Rapid Led’s are killing it. I’m still on the fence about what to flower these girls with. Have a great day. Totally looking forward to next week. Cheers
just watered, had to flush. The growth stunted. The soil ph from the bottom was 5.1/5.3 so that was definitely the problem and not good. So I got it up to about 5.7-5.9 and watered with 7.0 so hopefully this will raise the base ph level.
Not much to comment about, only the 4th day into week 1 of flowering. did a semi aggressive defoliation. my ph flush i did a week ago seems to have rectified the terrible situati0n. i have several gelato clones that are very healthy and growing way better then these did, so im sure my next crack at these ladies will be way more rewarding.
not to much going on at this stage, they have shown sex. just another bit of info i learned, when you ph up or down it changes the TDS, keep that in mind.
Sorry for the absence, you know how work is. My next diary will be complete. I’m totally impressed with the genetics. The plant grow relatively easy, she was a heavy feeder and required multiple waterings per week. This was the first run with these girls. I won’t train them and let them grow as to trellis them. The training kept them short, fat and compact. The smell is difficult to explain, like a sweet pine tree. I flushed them last Friday, so this Friday the lights will go out for them for the last time. It was a pleasure growing them. I have several clones, so she will live on
@robthegardenersteele, yes its the 5x5. i just ordered 3 more pucks and a driver. 2 white and 1 super blue. the 5x5 is going in my tent for flowering and these are going to be designated veg lighting.
@robthegardenersteele,
They’re awesome, I’ve got both the Emerson and exotic. Kinda bad design on those boards. The plug hangs out the side, so while lowering my light it broke the plug off my exotic board. They are fixing it though. Only had the damn thing running a week before it broke. The plants have exploded under these lights. I’m not exaggerating what so ever. If you look at my other grow I have. Those are the proof.
@capt_crunch, get some TNC MycorrMax Hydro
It’s the cheapest microbe product I’ve found on the isle ;)
Very good for soil grow. I’d you don’t already have RO water access or let your water sit out for 24hr before you add nutrients get some Neutalise from Eco-thrive.
Reason I say this is the difference between good growth and maximum growth, yeild, potency :)
