Fast Eddy - RQS

Hi, Thanks for checking out my beginner RQS Fast Eddy grow! Please feel free to comment or give advice below and check out my profile (JuicyFruit) for more grows! I'm growing Fast Eddy as it has an equivalent THC to CBD ratio of around 9% I believe. Im eager to test this on my anxiety, depression and sleep problems to see if it works better than high THC low CBD marijuana. Onto the grow: Firstly I germinated using jiffy7 peat pellets and once it pops il place it in a 5Gallon/19L smart pot pre soaked in Canna nutrients at PH6 under the phlizon 270W supplemental LEDs day 1: taproot was poking through the top of the jiffy pellet so i placed it in the 5 gallon fabric pot and placed it under the LEDs alongside my Royal Dwarf and Quick One. sprayed with some rhizotonic/water in a spray bottle and raised humidity to around 64 with water spray bottle. Update: was reading up on the effectiveness of COBs vs LEDs and decided to switch over to only using the COBs on this fixture for now. plus my LEDs have IR included so i think this is giving unnecessary stress at this stage of growth! i will turn the LEDs and the COBs on at week 3 for full flower power! Day 2 - plant seems to be alright, so excited to try this strain haha. Day 4: between day 2-4 the plant is making great progress, looks healthy green and is progressing day by day.

end of week 1 and fast eddy looks okay. weird shapes of leaves and colors of leaves, unsure as to what is causing this, its the same on my Quick One plant. Week 2 update - Day 17 Flushed the quick one and fast eddy as they looked like they had a nitrogen toxicity. leaves seem to be getting lighter in colour but plant is droopy from too much water, hopefully will recover. Day 18: Plant smells slightly like any other plant but its got a slight hint of cheese, nice!!! needs time to recover from too much nitrogen and too much water to get rid of the nitrogen. fingers crossed! hopefully that flush sorted them out.

Start of week 3 Day 21: changed nutes from 5ml/ltr to 4ml/ltr and will give slightly more water every feed. Still growing strong although leaves are generally slightly droopy. Day 22: started LST today as there are a lot of leaves near the bottom of the plant that arent recieiving any light. also im trying to stop the plants growing up quick and getting light burn. a flatter canopy would be better than a christmas tree shape. nice cheesy veg smell off this one, its definitely going to be smelly in flowering. possibly some pistils growing too? pretty sure all my plants came out as females so other than getting my watering schedule down i think all is well :). Keep on growing!

Fast Eddy Week 4 So ive been doing LST to get better light coverage and intensity on all parts of the plant :) this one was very small and bushy which made it hard to get all leaves a place to sit comfortably... ive also been watering using less water but watering more often to get oxygen to the roots :) these autoflowers dont care what i throw at them. fast eddy is alot smaller than my quick one plant but has a nice veg smell from the cheese x juanita the tearful. cant wait to get into heavy flowering! Finally im hoping to get 20-25g off this plant. and as its medical weed im really excited to try this. if it works then goodbye high thc strains! End of week 4/Day 34 plant is still really small but its flowering :) has a nice smell between a green veg plant and a cheese strain :) and im really excited to try the buds from this one, cant wait to be relaxed haha. im going to make sure the plants are 60cm away from the light for flowering as they are all in the flowering stage now :) im going to be giving more canna B in flowering for P and K instead of N. check out my Quick One and Royal Dwarf diaries :) i guess its just a waiting game now. it was a nice learning experience this time round but i was very unsure about everything. i have to give myself some applause tho as ive reached flowering :) next grow im doing a diesel auto, gg auto and maybe a sweet Zz (grapefruit x grape ape) as my first photoperiod :) we'll see how things go. please leave any advice or comments :) thank you for following my diaries! I picked up some iceberg lettuce seeds too so keep an eye out for those! :D Day 35 - 29/10/19 haloween is almost here and i cant wait to get me some 🎃. Flushed the fast eddy plant and it had 1160 ppm with a ph of 6.08. im assuming ppm of 800-1160 is hurting my plant, full of salts too. mixing up feed now to give to her. i should have had it sitting ready but i mixed up the bottles so i had to start over 😂. the smell off this plant isnt like the other generic weed strains, its got a real powerful potent cheese smell coming from it, and its very compact and tight, i think i actually got 2 buds merging into one hahaha. the sugar leaves look amazing too :) need to pick up a jewelers loupe or something of the sort to start watching the pistils and trichomes :) other than that im gonna start feeding her 4ml Canna A, 4ml Canna B, 3ml Rhizotonic, 3ml Cannazym. i did the flush yesterday with quick one and growth is just exploding again, its crazy how noob proof these plants are, still i think id prefer to have more control with photoperiods. Day 37 - 31/10/19 Plant enjoyed the flush! its very hard to see the flowering growth as it is very close together surrounded by healthy leaves. Has a lovely cheese smell, compared to a full cheese strain im getting hints of what could be the juanita la lagrimosa :) from the way this is developing and forming buds im not even worried about the size anymore. its looking likely to be good quality smoke :) Basically no flowering stretch so less yeild i think :) im a happy grower so thats all that matters haha. until next week folks! and HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!!!!

End of week 5 - Night 41 Added a couple videos, one from the side of the buds and one from the back (LST) things are going well for this plant now, it may only be 15-18cm but its flowering stronger than my other plants. the smell is just getting more pure and strong every day :) and its getting frostier too :D so excited! I have to grab myself a magnifying glass of sorts on monday to try and estimate when harvest will be :o

Day 48 - 11/11/19 started this week early by accident. Plant smells like tropical cheese and i cant see the stalk anymore except from the leaves, very bushy and seems to be in a mid stage of flowering. buds are getting bigger by the looks of it. very sticky also! Ive been removing about 2 leaves per day from this one, started with a couple touching the soil and removed a few higher ones today to expose the buds to more light and fresh air. when looking at this plant side on the main cola looks huge and growing more every day. im assuming this is about 2 weeks away from harvest so il probs flush next week. roll on harvest time! other than that the humidity has went up to 50-55 the odd time when watering all the plants. it doesnt stay high long with the heat from the lights so it should be fine. Day 51 - 14/11/19 Still removing the odd couple of leaves every day to let the fresh air get near the main cola, i still cant see it very well but it looks like what a 6-7g bud looks like when its dried aha. the smell can be described as if someone took a cheese strain and added something powerful and herbal/tropical to it. cant wait to order my jewelers loupe in a few days to see where im really at :) and i added a video to show the plant looking all frosty. a few weeks to go now!

Day 55 - 18/11/19 i still think another 1-2 weeks for this one, getting a jewelers loupe for the beginning of week 9 so i can tell exactly where were at in terms of harvest :) anyone got any thoughts on this little plant? have a look at the photos and videos and let me know in the comments below :) oh and i finally nailed what this strains smell is - tropical hubba bubba gum with cheese :'D Day 59 - 22/11/19 Got my jewelers loupe 2 days ago and ive been having a look at them. its pretty hard to see for a newbie grower. ive looked at harvest guides online and seen pictures of clear, cloudy and amber trichomes. mine look mostly cloudy (60%) and slightly glassy (40%) with barely any ambers. i may be wrong but the reason i think its cloudy is that it looks white against the leaves instead of see through or like glass. so going on this for my first trichome inspection im gonna harvest in the middle of next week. Smell is getting strong enough to stink out a room, still that tropical cheese smell, although its just so pungent it lingers in the rooms after bringing it out of the tent to inspect it. smell isnt a problem if you put it back in the tent and spray some air freshener stuff in the next room. the carbon filter is doing its job exactly as described along with the fan. The fan leaves started to get yellow patches and sugar leaves starting to curl. and a friend thinks its nearing the end of its life. I flushed yesterday and will flush again today to drain out any excess salts and nutes. Thanks for following along. im excited for week 9! Happy Growing!

Day 61 - 24/11/19 Stopped adding nutes a few days ago and decided to flush. only feeding pure phed water now for roughly the next 5 days or so and then harvest time! Smell is insane! buds look a bit small but full of green/purple colours. so excited to be at the finish line for this one :) all the gear i need for harvesting, drying and curing is on its way so all i have to do now is keep watering and waiting :) Night 61 - Update pruning shears arrived! I decided to snip one of the side colas to dry and cure. the smaller bits of buds came off the stem while trimming so i cant hang them up to dry like the bud in the video i added. ive stored all the trim from the Dwarf diary and the side cola for making edibles this week. got a nice collection going now. and i added pictures and a video to show harvest and my temporary drying solution. Next update will be the full harvest so keep an aye out for that. Happy growing!

Week 9 - Day 63 - 26/11/19 Im so grateful to be a part of this community and to be at this milestone so to speak :) had an amazing time growing this plant, thanks to everyone who had a look or contributed to my diary! Harvest was fun but that little 16cm tall plant stunk my whole house out of cheese when i started trimming her :) Added a few photos and videos of the harvesting, i got a little ball of hash off the scissors which i smoked in a bong and it was nice! very hashy! its taken about 2 hours to finish trimming but ive stored all the trim in the freezer along with the dwarf trim from my last diary :) im making cannabutter and edibles this week. really excited for that. So i hung my drying rack outside the tent beside the passive intake. temps are between 20-22c in the room so it should dry fine and im hoping the passive intake will drag the smell in and keep it sort of fresh in the room :) This diary has got me excited for my Quick One plant as its much taller and has colas like arms :D. Il update in 3-7 days when buds are dried and then il be updating a lot throughout curing :) Day 65 - 28/11/19 Still drying these buds :) they look much smaller now, i smoked a small bud and although its much drier than harvest its still spongy/sticky and stretchy when breaking apart so 2-3 more days drying i think. Smell is wonderful especially if you get it on your hands, its like tropical fruit cheese and the effects of thc are not as pronounced with this strain but i felt very relaxed, no muscle pain etc and no paranoia or anxiety. i havent had a clear relaxed headspace before bed in a very long time. Any 1:1 THC/CBD is a must grow, give it a try if you havent already, i couldnt have picked a better starter medical plant as i love a good old cheese strain :) And i made some cannabutter out of the 59g of sugar leaves i got from this diary and my first diary. il have to upload a few pictures of the process later and let you all know if the cannabutter worked in my brownies :) Day 66 - 29/11/19 Started curing and added a photo to show :) buds were at 59-60% when left in the jar alone for a few hours so i threw in my boveda 58% pack and started burping 5-6 times per day :) i could have cured for a week before adding the boveda pack but i had barely any bud in the huge jar so i thought it would be wise to add the boveda to prevent mold and to keep it curing perfectly! Day 67 - 30/11/19 Posted a picture of a handful of buds :) i smoked a few in a bong and had a joint and it left me nice and medicated! no anxiety no paranoia nicely locked to the couch and sleepy. perfect nightime smoke as it wont trip you out or mess with your head, just a nice happy little mellow buzz! Flavour hasnt really came through yet, not sure what to expect as im a newbie but its slightly like cheese/flowery/herbs. Curing is definitely helping every day! the smell is getting better, buds are getting really smooth and they look amazing also! really excited for the next few weeks curing :) Final Update - Day 69 - 02/12/19 Finally here at the end of this diary and i have to say i loved growing this plant. it was a dark green colour throughout growing and took whatever i threw at it. Buds are nice and dry and curing well. i saved the best buds until last and added a couple of photos of them and a video also! they are covered in trichomes and feel great. Not much of a smell from the buds and it tastes like a sweet floral cheese mixture. Im pretty couchlocked from a bong of this strain so im gonna end this diary here and go relax but many thanks for following along folks and take a look at my other diaries if you get a chance :) Peace!
