A nice mostly mild week again, a few days in the 30's, but mostly mid 20's to 30C.
A few overcast days, but mostly nice and sunny.
I don't normally water at all during the 1st week as I saturate my pots quite heavily with water before planting, but with the warmer weather I gave her about 150ml to keep the soil damp.
I'm trying a new style of pot on a few of my new ones, I got a wastepaper bin that has mesh sides and put an old tshirt with neck and sleeves in first and fold it over the rim of the pot and use an elastic to keep the hem in place and fill with soil. I like the idea of bag pots, but having to move my plant for sun twice to 3 times a day I don't like that they are floppy.
I saw @yummy_frost on insta do this and really like the best of both. Rigid pots that can still breath and a really cheap setup.
Other than that nothing much to report.
A nice warm, mostly sunny week.
This one is growing well, really happy with her progress.
Been putting her out in the sun with the older ones and only in the greenhouse for mid day heat.
Started LST on her yesterday and she's turned up and carrying on.
She's the first one I'm testing the new pots with and am really happy so far. Over watering is almost impossible and has the bonus of air pots/bags, but is nice and rigid and only cost me R50 ($3.40) and old t-shirt and elastic band. Wanted plastic baskets, but couldn't find what I wanted, so trying these out. They have a coating on, so shouldn't rust and at the price, I'm happy if they only last me one season & gives me time to find plastic ones.
Watering 300ml of collected rainwater every 2 days. The soil had amendments for the first 3 to 4 weeks, so will start a light feed next week.
I was away for work this weekend, so update is 2 days late.
A nice mild start to the week, but the 2nd half we got some serious rain and a few completely overcast days.
Really happy with her progress despite the cold.
She's growing well and starting a few branches.
I'm experimenting with different types of LST and started pulling her to one side of the pot, then took that off and pulled her to the opposite side. I'm basically trying to give the branches a bit more light in hopes that they get going a bit more seriously. I have now taken the LST off and will let her do her thing.
I'm leaving some younger ones with no LST to see if this makes any difference.
A cold start to the week with a few very overcast days, but it's warmed up nicely again.
Despite the few bad days this one has been growing so well.
Really happy with her progress, a few little branches developing and given her a light feed.
Will probably take a few leaves off to let more light on;t the branches, but will keep it minimal.
A nice, mainly warm week.
16cm height gained this week. She's doing so well.
Done a bit of LST on the lower branches and she's looking great!
Switching to flower nicely, so will switch the feed next week.
1 feed per week, the rest is collected rainwater.
Really happy with how this one is doing, the warmer weather is definitely helping and even have to try keep them cool mid day for a change.
A nice warm sunny week.
Have upped the watering due to the warmer weather.
A little defoliation and cleaning out to keep the airflow good.
This girl is shooting up! Still a lot of height gained this week.
She's got a few nice branches below, but the bulk will be from the main cola.
Might top some of the next batch if they do this well.
Had to do a really quick shoot with them yesterday evening, going away for the weekend and didn't want to skip them.
Wont do diaries over the weekend anymore. Shots are dark and grainy, but it's better than nothing I guess.
Another good week.
She's slowed down stretching, but towering above the rest.
Throwing out tonnes of stigmata and the frost is slowly coming in.
So happy with this girl and can't wait till the smells start developing.
A nice warm week, had to keep them out of the mid day sun.
We've had a few scorcher days, one got up to 43.8C, so have been finding cool spots for them with as much light as possible.
I've upped the watering, the heat is making them way more thirsty!
She's starting to fill out a bit, lots of fresh white stigmata and the smell is still feint, but coming quickly.
Tallest girl of the lot and happy with her, not much branching, but will get a few small nugs besides the main cola.
My big baby is doing well and starting to smell her as I carry her around.
Still developing, but it's a fresh slightly sweet smell now.
She's filling out well and putting on some weight.
Still a while to go, so hope she gets really fat!
Still going well.
Bulking up and smelling amazing.
A little PM trying to creep in, but mainly on bigger leaves, so just cutting it out as soon as I see any and did a proper defoliation to thin her out & let her breathe a bit more.
Otherwise another 2 weeks or so.
Another good week with a scorcher to end the week.
Started the flush this week and she's doing well, yellowing a bit, so showing me she's nearly ready.
A few white stigmata though, so will give her another week.
Last week for this girl, she has done really well.
This week had quite a few scorcher days that helped finish her off and leaves went yellow and wilted and amber trichomes started to pop up.
Buds look nice and dense too, so sure I'll get a good yield off of her.
Biggest auto outdoors so far this season and interested to see how much flower I get.
Also quite resistant to PM, a few of my other plants her age got it and had to cut a few leaves out, but she only got a tiny touch of it and kept it at bay most of the time with minimal effort.
Will chop her this afternoon or tomorrow. As well as my Gelato, Smoothie and Blackberry.
Harvest update will be in 3 months when it's dried and cured properly and I can add a smoke report.
She did really well and was easy to grow. She kept going fast, no matter what I gave her.
Nice fat colas with a soft sweet smell.
I'm not a huge sativa fan, but this girl is a treat to smoke. Nice, light and smooth (so your friends that don't smoke much won't be knocked out in the first hit) with a sweet fruity flavor and a little herbal touch to it.
Very nice daytime smoke with friends, uplifting and sociable.
I don't smoke much during the day, so haven't been reaching into the jar as much as some others, but a few of my friends that like sativas more are loving it.
She is definitely the kind of strain that can handle topping or a FIM, or some LST at the very least and will reward you for it.
