Some clones I got in rockwool cubes that I let root out more than they where and then transplanted into pots. 1x White Widow, 1x Cali OG and 2x Caramel Cream. Potted in 1 gal pots in about a 70:30 ratio of coco to perlite with Gaia Green Organics 4-4-4 dry amendment mixed into the media. Using Impello Tribus to help with the break down and uptake of organic nutrients. Watering with de-chlorinated water when dry, adding Pro Cal every other watering and Tribus once a week.
Explosive growth after one week! Looking to do a topping and starting some LST next week. Things are looking great and going pretty smooth. The clones are still recovering from the deficiencies they came with.
Starting to tie down all leading branches to open up the canopy and bush out the clones. Preparing for flower and trying to maintain and even canopy. Watering regimen hasn't changed and steady growth rapid growth is being maintained.
Transplanted and topped today. I always transplant and top at the same time as new shoots equals new roots! Maximize your grow! The roots are looking amazing for this transplant. I made another coco perlite and gaia green mix. This time with a 1:2 ratio of the 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 because I will be flipping to flower the week after the plants have recovered from topping. On transplant I use a mycorrhizae powder to reduce transplant shock and aid in nutrient uptake and root development. They still need some nitrogen to support them during the stretch but the added phosphorus helps with the stretch along with potassium to setting buds. I also installed my first layer of trellis to weave the plants in early. At the end of the week I got 2 autos and wanted to see what I could do with them so I planted them and then also got rid of one of the Caramel Creams (C.C) because it was lagging behind the other one a little to much.
The clones have recovered perfectly from the topping and transplanting and I did a huge defoliation and loli-popping of the clones this week. Noticed some fungus gnats so I got some sticky traps up and watered in nematodes and a bacillus strain to eat the eggs in the soil and hopefully control the population. One of the autos never germinated and still waiting on the other... its not looking to good though. The 3 clones are looking great! Growing up through the first trellis layer already and looking like the have fully recovered from any issues. Started adding Green Plant's Rezin with every watering.
Still having major problems with fungus gnats and the populations have exploded! So I ended up doing a drench of hydrogen peroxide to kill all the eggs on contact that where in the top inch or so of the pots. Also on the pots that where worse I added sand to the top just as an extra precaution. I added my second and final layer of trellis. I mostly use the trellis for support and for spreading out the canopy and opening up the lower bud sites to the light. We can see the bud sites are starting to set and are looking pretty great for 2 weeks of flower!
Bud growth is looking great and it the trichome are developing nicely! the hydrogen peroxide took care of t he fungus gnats once and for all! I'm really happy that it worked out!
The grow is pretty much on cruse control now and the buds keep developing nicely! This week I also did a top dressing of just the 2-8-4 and watered in with my usual L-W8, Rezin, Pro Cal and Tribus. Coming in daily to check on the grow and re-tie down branches and adjust the LST, also been doing light defoliation daily to open bud sites or been tucking leaves.
Buds have put on tones of weight! I have been needing to pull up the buds that are flopping over with string and tying them up to the top of my tent. I've also started the flush this week and only using the tribus and L-W8 for the first half of the week at half strength. Fading is looking nice! Hoping to harvest in about 2 weeks!
This week I watered nothing but Tribus for the final flush week. I didn't quite get the fade I was hoping for, will probably push it for another week and finish them all up on week 8. I think that the Caramel Cream should be harvested this week but since I only have this 2x4 space for all my growing and drying I have to harvest all of them at the same time and the Cali OG and White Widow aren't quite ready yet.
Over all final harvest weight was just over a half pound out of a 2x4 tent using 240 watts from a Marshydro SP-250. I'm very happy with the quality and quantity of my harvest and cant wait to get reset and up and growing again!
