I was given some GSC x Royal Kush from a friend that tests genetics that wasn't going to pop them. I germinated them in tap water. A few sank immediately but most sat on the surface for at least 24 hours. After the first 24 hours I tapped the seeds lightly and they sank down. After another 48 hours I chose the 3 best looking ones and planted them in small glass pots to start them.
Using Dyna-Grow 7-9-5. I transplanted all three seedlings into one 5-gallon pot with standard potting soil. I knew this was going to be temporary and not good for the plants overall as their roots could become tangled. I have started to make plans to try and grow these 3 plants outdoors. I transplanted them all into an outside garden directly into the ground. Two of them seem to be doing OK and adjusting while one has died. I am guessing from the shock of going indoors to outdoors and from a pot to the ground. Either way I am down to 2! Sadly I cannot find any pictures of them outside.
Sadly plant #2 has died! Going outside was just a bad plan all the way around. Not only did they end up being over watered but there just was not enough direct sunlight in the area I had them in. The second plant died mainly due to a squirrel mauling. I brought the last one back inside and setup a small veg area with enough room for 4 or 5 small plant. I decided to do a topping on the last plant and try some main line training.
I havent been able to give this plant as much light and attention as it has needed and its growth has suffered. It has stayed pretty healthy but pretty small overall. I am putting most of my effort into another plant that is closer to harvest and working on a new grow cabinet to flower out plants in. The plant is getting Dyna-Grow 7-9-5, Terpinator, Mammoth P, and Epsom Salt once a week with two plain water feedings.
So this plant has had a lot of LST done and trimming. I tried my hand and clipping off some smaller growth to make the rest grow stronger. I am probally going to keep this up for atleast a few weeks and I have now been thinking about upgrading my lights and my grow area. I have been researching grow tents and LED grow setups. I have also gotten really interested in top-feed DWC.
I have removed all of the plant wire for training. I am going to just let it grow and see what happens. I made a make shift veg area in my living room but it is super temporary. I have 4 other seedlings with this plant and am really ramping up growing as I enjoy it so much. This plant is a fighter!! At this point I have transplanted it a total of 4 times, cut, trimmed, dropped, and abused this plant yet it is still going. I don't think its possible to kill this particular plant. I have decided to upgrade to a two in one grow tent and LED grow lights. I have found some really good deals on Amazon and want to go to the next level.
Had to move the plants to another veg area in a closet. I have ordered a two in one grow tent so that I can veg and flower in one area and not have plants all over the house. I have also ordered a 300W LED grow light. This is a time of upgrades all over really. I have gotten new nutrients. I am sticking with Dyna-Grow line as its just one bottle for flower and one for veg keeping the whole process super simple. They also work in a hydro system which is great as I am planning on doing a top-feed DWC setup in the near future! I have also ordered another small fan, a humidity/temp monitor, a scale, and a few other odds and ends. I have also switched to coco coir with other plants. This one will be the last that I flower in plain soil. I am doing one round in the coco and then it will be water for me! Again this plant is a fucking champ!
I got the tent in and put up. I also ordered another LED grow light that is 600W. I was vegging out with the 300W and flower with the 600W. I decided to kick everything into flower and now have 900W going in the tent with a total of 5 plants. The plant itself has turned into a bush pretty much. It is about 2 and a half feet around and about 2 and a half feet tall. I had one of the fans too close to the plants and ended up giving them wind burn. I have re-arranged the tent at this point to allow for better flow without direct fan air on the plants.
