Another super soil grow this time with Mephisto genetics Double Grape
Not messing around with this one as its an auto so straight into the 5 gallon grow bag filled with my own super soil and a 3 inch layer of plain
potting mix that will act as a buffer for the young roots.
first week of veg done , didnt grow a lot but hopefully Ive still got a few weeks before it goes into flowering mode .
Once the roots reach the rich soil I'm sure it will take off.
This one is fairly slow growing and I'm yet to see any real growth spurt despite the sunnier weather we've been having.
Hopefully it'll take off a bit soon.
Still no real growth happening yet so Ive decided to do some playing around with this plant before it goes to flower.
What I'm intending to do is Fim it in an attempt at keeping it in veg a litte longer hoping it'll get some more branch development before Budding.
Who knows?? It may just work.............😏.......
Well I fimmed her as I said i would last week, and it seemed to have worked by giving her a kick in the pants, so to speak.
The plant seems to have woken up now and is starting to develop at a quicker rate.
Gave her some worm casting tea mixed with seaweed and Azospirillum concentrate .
Well here we go the Mephisto Double grape is showing her first lot of pistil growth. Time to start with some of the Mr B's Green Trees Bllom Mix Ive got.
I'll simply mix a bit in a full watering can and water in on a weekly or Biweekly basis depending on it's nutritional needs.
My Mephisto genetics Double Grape is starting to develop her flowers in earnest
She has a sativa like appearence & This Hot weather and brilliant sunshine really seems to be invigorating the plant
which should hopefully result in faster growth. I'll feed her some Blackstrap mollasses to provide a boost of potassium and calcium plus some Epsom salts for Extra magnesium
although the Ground water here seems to have adequate magnesium and calcium levels already.

Well this double Grape from Mephisto is getting pretty stinky already!! Just the slightest bump or movement of the plant emits a powerful sweet and fruity aroma.
She's also getting nice and sticky too 😁

Mephisto Genetics Double Grape 4th week of Flowering 29th December 2019
This plant is really starting to impress me with it's smell and stickiness. Also the main stem seems to filling in with bud beautifully with very little spacing between branches that arent covered with bud growth. I gave her a 1/3rd of a cup of Mr B's Green Trees Bloom mix and a 1/4 tspoon of Great White.

Mephisto Genetics double Grape 5th Jan 2020 4th week of Flowering completed.
I'm liking this strain a lot even tho it isn't that big and probably won't yield a whole lot however the Quality is there which is the most important aspect
of a plants value to me. She's got a Very strong fruity smell even when you accidently brush past the plant and the buds are getting very resinous.
Can't wait to smoke some of this stuff 😜

Mephisto Genetics Double Grape week 6 of flowering completed 12th Jan 2020
This plant continues to develop a great covering of frost and the smell is incredible!! I will give her another week and then chop her down.
I just ordered some of Mephisto's Illuminauto varieties and one of them is a cross between Double grape and a plant called stiltons special which they call "port and stilton"
The description of this strain sounds pretty good to me so keep an eye out for when I start a diary for it in the not too distant future.

Boy O Boy this is a very Frosty lady. 😛😛😍😋
Not very big buds as they seem to be all stringy swollen calyxes that are covered in trichomes nothing anybody would want 😆 Only joking I'll take quality over quantity
Any day and these buds although small scream Quality. I'm gonna give her another week because the trichomes are clouded but no amber as of yet.

Mephisto genetics Double Grape 8 Weeks of flowering Completed 24th Jan 2020
I chopped her down today as the trichomes are at that 10-15% amber stage that I prefer. Definately wont be getting much yieldwise however it should be a
Tasty as hell smoke. The buds will dry now and once done I'll take some pics and post a harvest update. 👍
Mephisto Double Grape Harvest Day 26th jan 2020
Looks certainly can be very misleading and here is a leson in how I shouldnt judge a book by it's cover. The day I harvested this I thought to myself , Shit what a waste of time that grow was , these Tiny little airy buds aren't gonna amount to fuck all.
And whilst it's true I didn't end up with very much , the Buds I got tho are so frosted and delectable that I now regret thinking that. 😬 like the mephisto gods might have heard it 😂 Nah all jokes aside this looks like it's some quality weed and I look forward to giving it a try in about 2 weeks time.
