Tera420 The Auto Lemon seed by Seedsman was placed into water on the 12th, then into a Root Riot cube and straight into the net pot on the 13th, she made her first appearance on the 17th. I'm unsure on to why they took so long to germinate but she got there eventually. During Week 1 she stayed very short and I don't know how the root development was coming along. The roots hadn't reached the water by the end of week 1 but I had been giving it 20ml of solution several times a day so the roots didn't dry out. I learnt this from my Auto Massassin grow which is about 1 week ahead. I'm trying to be as accurate as possible with measurements and dilutions as it's a hydroponic grow, I have done a lot of research about growing both Autos and Photo types and think it's time to put all I've learn into practise. I'll also try and get a photo at least every 2-3 days. From sprouting I sprayed the seedling 2-3 times a day for the first week to keep the humidity above 90% I monitored the PH of the water even though the roots hadn't reached the water and maintained it at around 5.8-6PH I've used all the nutrients more than 50% below the recommended usage to see how the plant reacts as I read some autos prefer lower nutrient levels. Was unsure how to say the amount of Great White I used, just a tiny sprinkle or 1/10th scoop. I lowered the PH with about 6 drops of PH down and added 3ml of the Silver Bullet Roots to the 16 litre pot (which was recommend to stop root rot) So I live in a hard water area so use 1 drop/litre of Neutralise by Ecothrive to neutralise chlorine and chloramine in the water. I can't measure PPM or EC because I don't own a test/pen. I don't own a Par/lux meter so am guessing the light distance and I only have the veg switch turned on. My LED light is rated at 1200watts but when tested with my plug tester it measure at approx 45watts in Veg and 70watts in Bloom, both switches on use about 115 TrueWatts. (I think that's how it works) The nutrient solution used for the Auto Lemon is identical to the solution used for the Auto Massassin and will remain that way for the first couple of weeks.

Tera420 So during Week 2 we got a lot more growth in the leaves and nodes. Things are looking great and it seems like shes gonna be on the short side but I don't mind. I didn't need to changed the nutrient solution as the roots had only just started to touch the waters surface. I kept the water PH monitored to 5.9 and sprayed the plant once a day with plain PH'd water. I made sure to keep the plant 18 inches away from the LED light aswell. Overall the plant grew about a half inch taller and when from having 1 to 3 sets of nodes.

Tera420 Didn't change the water again for week 3 as it contains Silver Bullet Roots which protects plants from bad bacteria and root rot for up to 5 weeks. Monitored the PH of the water again and maintained it to a PH of 5.9 I'm still to watering with 20ml of solution but now only 2 times a day to keep the roots moist. With my LED light I put both the Veg and Bloom switches on so the plant is getting more watts of light and I've raised it by an inch so it's still 18 inches from the plant. The Auto Lemon grew about an inch which is the fastest development I've seen from this plant so far. She has now started to develop its 4th set of fan leaves. I've also notices that I possibly have another strain with a few abnormalities with leaf growth, I'm hoping she grows out of it. To add to the plant problems she seems to have killed off 1 leaf and node from the 4th set, I'm not sure why this has happened but i'm hoping this doesn't stunt her as shes already going to be short.

Tera420 So its Week 4 and everything going down hill for this girl. I had an accident in the garden while doing some LST on this girl and it didn't end as well as I'd hoped at all. 1 of her lower branches got caught under a fan leaf, as I gently pulled her branch loose it just snapped clean off, I shed a tear and left her to recover. The shoot that broke off went into a root riot cube just to see what could possibly happen, I know you can't really clone an auto but I've not got much to lose at this point. A few days later and it looked like the wound was healing up quickly, I decided to give her a quick LST adjustment. tucked a few big fan leaves so the different nodes had time to catch up. Everything was going great, till I had a mirror déjà vu. The parallel branch to the 1 that snapped off did exactly the same, barely connected. I ran around the house looking for any kind of tape, electrical tape was all i could find so I bandaged her up as quickly as possible. I'd already lost 1 branch and couldn't stand to lose another so thought it was the best thing to do. As FIMing means "F**k I Missed" have I just FIMd my auto because non of this was meant to happen or is it defoliation and is this going to cause her to Hermi? Before all this happened she was responding to LST really well and put a lot of energy into all of her branches. I didn't realise how brittle auto flowers were and was being as gentle as possible. I've seen hundreds of tutorials on growing and people being quite rough with there plants, maybe the accelerated growth of the auto just made it weaker. I just don't know, any ideas? I'm yet to see if shes been stunted by this ordeal, I hope she hasn't and has a swift recovery. The Root development of this girl has exploded during this week, at the start the were just a few tiny roots which have developed into a whole system to support the plant (she need it) This will be the 4th week I didn't changed the nutrients and I believe there is plenty for the plant to still thrive on, if I notice a deficiency then I will be amending it. I plan to change the reservoir around week 5 as there is still roughly 11 litres remaining. I'm keeping the LED 18 inches from the plant and am still looking to get a PAR/LUX meter so I can properly adjust the height to what they need. As the weather continues to get colder so does my tent but it seem happy sitting at 23'C during the day and 18'C at nighttime. So to sum up this week I've mutilate my auto girl by snapping 2 branches causing unknown future damage, monitored the reservoir and some LST. Can't wait to see what happens next week.......

1. As FIMing means "F**k I Missed" have I just FIMd my auto because non of this was meant to happen or is it classed as defoliation? 2. Is this stress going to cause my girl to Hermi? 3. Are Autoflowering plants more brittle than regular/feminised cannabis plants and why?

Anything over 18 hours of light in 24 hour cycle is useless

Thankyou @Bear_1978, now i'm trying to think what your plant looks like as you haven't got a diary up yet. Are you growing the same strain? and could send pics of your girl?
