Aug 5: Side stems exploding. Going to have to LST at least one of them in the next couple of days.
Aug 6:
- LST shoot from base that's stretched higher than apical bud. Considering cloning it.
- Watered 3L, pH 6-6.5 with 1.5mL each root farm base and all purpose.
29k Lux @ top of canopy.
Aug 7:
- LST shoot from near apical bud down to canopy height
- Shoot from base is still going well
- Adjusted LST at apical bud. Left off overnight to see if we can get some stretch. Plenty of pistils at nodes.
Thoughts on when to flip to flower:
- Kate is expected to take 60 days. Assume 10 wks.
- 1 week to dry.
- In jars by Thanksgiving (Oct. 18)
- Flip to flower Aug. 8 to make that schedule!?!
Aug 8:
Closed tent to get reading on temp and humid: 29°C, 45% humidity. According to Vapour Pressure Deficit chart, too dry for temperature inside the tent.
Room reading: 25°C, 44% humidity.
Weather report for outside: 23°C, 61% humidity.
Forced ventilation on the tent seems like best plan. Weekend project to build a PC case fan exhausto-box?
9:00 PM, 28°C, 37%rh.
- Spritzed with water. Humidity bumped to 50%, should be closer to 75-80% at this temperature.
- placed 1L cup of steaming hot water in tent and closed bottom air intake.
- Pointed clip fan at it.
Kate:
- Got a bit of stretch on apical bud, but not much.
- Re-applied LST to apical bud
- Pulled down a couple more long shoots to get them direct light
- Rotated 180 deg to mix things up a bit
Aug 9:
30°C, 58% RH in tent @ 9:40 AM
Kate:
- Soil is dry to first knuckle.
- Put put elevator underneath
- 4L tap water
Tent 28°C, 69% RH @10:10 AM
Verified that Kate has runoff.
Aug 10
27.5°C, 70% humidity @ 10:00 AM
28.4, 69% @ 21:45
